To be fair most of the heroic spirits aren't very nice people. More often than nought with ancient heros, they are remembered for how many bodies they dropped while in times of conflict. While also remembering how they treated their people, along with how they start and end conflicts in their respective time periods.

It's just that normally, they laugh because they find the notion of their opponent defeating them, or even harming them to be hilarious. Hence, intimidation. Caster Gil is laughing at the fact that utter normal human Ritsuka Fujimaru is saying that he'd defeat three literally goddesses. It's not intimidating because Gil hates most forms of divinity and would be quite chuffed if Ritsuka actually pulled it off. Now, if Ritsuka had instead been declaring that he'd be able to defeat Gilgamesh, he'd probably be quite pissed off aka. the Shirou treatment. Also, Caster Gil is just a really busy Archer Gil. He's tied up with the responsibility of managing and protecting Babylonia, so he can't afford to fuck off and do whatever he wants like in all of his other appearances. All most all of the positive appearances of Gilgamesh are either entertained or kept busy (Strange/Fake has him meeting Enkidu again, CCC has him debuffed and severely weakened, etc) and all of his negative/antagonistic appearances are him when he's annoyed or bored (Zero has him constantly cooped up in Tokiomi's base, and Stay Night is him being annoyed at the consumerism and mass-production of the 21st century).

Nicest version of Gilgamesh can also be applied to Caster Gil. To which he probably also would’ve been pissed in this very same situation. (Kingu was an exception because he was created from Enkidu’s body)

Because Kid Gil is actually very cautious and self aware of the entire battlefield. Unlike his older Archer version who is just brash and arrogant and has his entire vault of Babylon as a weapon , Kid Gil is not only arrogant, but aware of his strengths and weaknesses, and will play to his cards depending on the situation. He can't afford a screw up unlike his older version since Kid Gil here is at a disadvantage with most of his treasures in the Gate of Babylon stolen or being used by Angelica.

I’m with you there. Frightening in that he is such a wild card. He’ll work with you and against you as benefits him. And as the other comment nailed, he is far more careful and prudent. Regular Gil wouldn’t worry about busting out a cloak of invisibility or maximizing his resources. He’s far too arrogant for that. Much harder to catch Kid Gil off guard when he offers so fewer openings. Less firepower than OG Gil until he gets his card back, but plenty dangerous.

Archer Gil is more terrifying despite he is older.

If Gilgamesh was competent, he wouldn't have wasted time bolstering his ego and pride and killed Shirou in both the Fate and UBW route with no haste. He may be more powerful than Kid Gil, but he is not smarter by any means.

Scariest would be probably CasGil if he didn’t seal away Ea, so that he’s both wise, and careful, while keeping his original amount of power

In Gilgamesh eyes The Chains of Heaven is his most valuable treasure in the whole Gate of Babylon, something he holds even higher than EA. Enkidu was his only equal and his only friend past, present or future. To have the nerve of using the chains and against himself on top of that is more than likely the greatest offense Gilgamesh can ever imagine.

Actually no. The way older gil's VA delivers it is just more impactful and menacing when he's serious. But the way this scene played out made the dialogue to come out impressively.

Pretty sure the child form is inspired by his search for immortality actually. This would be a Gil that found and managed to use it, placing him after the adult Archer, but before Caster in the Epic's chronology. His maturity lines up with that interpretation as well. Wisened by Enkidu's death and his subsequent quest, but not humbled by his failure.

This is just Gil after taking the elixer of youth to become young again, he retains his memories and knowledge but his personality reverts back into what his child-self used to be, thats why there's such a stark contrast to his seemingly innocent personality to that terrifying anger of his, he's arrogant because he knows he can be arrogant but he's much more cautious and knows what he can and can't do in that form, basically Gilgamesh if the pride that usually cucks him is actually tolerable.
