Join us to learn about our Central Valley before any humans arrived!
A paleontological exploration of the Great Valley through geological time, long before agricultural development changed the face of the valley. An amazing story is told by the rocks exposed in the valley and adjacent Coast Ranges, reaching back to the age of the dinosaurs and way earlier too!
Speaker: Professor Garry Hayes
Garry Hayes has taught geology at Modesto Junior College since 1988, He earned an MS in Geology at the University of Nevada, Reno, and a BA in Geology at Pomona College in Southern California. He has been an avid birder since 2014.
