What i find ironic is that in Harry Potter the spell Imperio is associated with the Dark Arts while in Star Wars the Jedi Mind Trick which is basically the same as Imperio is considered an ability of the Light Side. I wonder how they would feel if wizard and the jedi encountered one another

So Luthor don't know the Memory Charm, then? One would think modifying an Auror's memory as to make him forget he saw you is much better than making an Auror disappear,

Ninclow probably not. I’m sure there might be a curing potion or counter-curse for the charm. It would be risky so assuming Luthor has a criminal’s mentality, his first thought is most likely “dead people can’t talk”

@@reginaldstacy7250 Well, Lockhart was better at modifying memories than most seasoned Obliviators, and after he wiped his whole memory, he never fully recovered. That aside, it's also worth noting that the Auror wouldn't remember having ever seen anything out of the ordinary, so there wouldn't have been any reason for the thought of casting such a potion or counter-charm, if there even is one, should ever cross anyone's mind. Granted Luthor had mastered the spell properly. If he couldn't cast it without doing serious damage, of course, then I can sort of understand why he did what he did.

Ninclow Do remember that Memory Charms CAN be undone. Voldemort did it to Bertha Jorkins - so it’s possible to be done. A dead/missing Auror is less danger...

Yes, but you are forgetting something. The Memory Charm put on Bertha Jorkins was too strong with respect to the amount of memory modification necessary _and_ cast improperly, leaving her permanently forgetful. People who know their charms can conceivably recognize the signs and put two and two together. That's what Voldemort did. If we presuppose that the Memory Charm is used properly, however, there would be no change in Parkinson's behaviour to suggest he had ever been subjected to memory modification in the first place, hence, the Ministry, including Moody, would be none the wiser. That, and do you really think that the Ministry would use the Cruciatus Curse on their own employees and break their minds just to access memories?

@@ninclow5421 Not at all; I was merely pointing out that there is a *chance* someone with a memory charm could be found out - what if they have to file a report and can't remember anything? Or they remember differently to someone that was with them? Killing/making the Auror vanish is safer.

Narcissa is a detached advocate for pureblood idealists within the wizarding world. By not taking the dark mark, like her husband Lucius Malfoy and her sister Bellatrix Black-Lastrange, she can deflect suspicions and cast doubts for both of her family ties being connected with the dark lord.

James went to hogwarts to remember the gold old days. He found the sword of gryffindor by chance. When Peeves mentioned the Marauders map, James realized it was still in Hogwarts. That's when he decided to get it back.

I've got to admit that I practically don't know anything from Pottermore and what informations about anything you can get from there. So I didn't know why Severus and Luthor wanted this plant so bad. I googled boophone disticha and found out that it's an african very poisenous and even deadly plant. This for those of you who didn't know either or for those who'd like to make fun of me now because of my comment. Hehe. 😄 Btw I'd like to say that I love this audio series so much and hope, no, I KNOW that there will be heard and seen so much more from all you wonderful guys who worked on this series. This project is the most outstanding one I've discovered over the last years on KZfaq.
