Well I guess it seems that people cried allot saying it was too hard to get the last person 1 on 1, but we never had that problem and that's 1 thing that's wrong with the world today, they want things easier.

@HashimotoDatsu actually, it's banned in schools, some parents complained because kids were being "targeted" and the game was considered a form of "bullying" so now it's banned from being played in schools nationally. It's fun to play at your local sky zone tho

@samthunder9499 really, that's a shame. I wonder if that is universal or only in certain school districts. Kids being a "bully" is pretty much unavoidable, but you would think a gym teacher worth their salt would pit the tough ones against each other and try to enforce fair play. And besides that, getting hit with soft balls is much better than getting roughed up in some other sport. Basketball was always much more intense from my experience

@HashimotoDatsu I agree. I hope it's only a regional thing, but regardless its a damn shame. Dodgeball helped me make a lot of friends in middle school when I was very introverted, I won games and my teammates ended up becoming my good friends, but once we got into high school they got rid of it. I'm 19 btw so this was very recent.

I was once in a summer program when I was 12, we were playing dodgeball in the gym, it was high school and adult staff versus the 12-year-olds, they had eliminated all of us except for one kid…and there were like 15-20 of them left, this kid eliminated the rest of them by himself, it wasn’t televised…but I know for sure all of us will always remember that game

I was a camp counselor in 2022 and we played dodgeball. I remember standing still and talking to someone on the other side of the court and then someone else threw a ball at me and I just remember moving my head to swerve the ball. 🗿

Last one is most likely jailbreak rules (may be a different name for others) where either 1v1 has the most/all of the court open up OR after a certain time limit, more of the court opens up in segments so the game doesn’t get drawn out for anyone curious about why the girl wasn’t eliminated for crossing the line.

Fr some people need to learn context clues. She runs past the line, no one says anything about it, the guy doesnt say anything about it, she gets him out and they cheer. Clearly its allowed. In my old school we made it so that if one person was just being a pussy in the back you were allowed to cross the line just so we didnt stand around for 10 minutes

Dident know that. We used to play the Same way. But we would have team mates behind the other team and vise versa. So you had to look out all directions. You can pass to your team mate and then throw from two directions. Really fast and fun.

In school I was amazing at dodging, but could not throw to save my life, so there was a rule specifically for me that if I was the last player on my team, my team would automatically win if I was not knocked out within 2 minutes
