Am I the only one who does not see the guide video for multiplayer in the description?

I vividly remember my dad, Staff Sergeant Michael D. Elledge, playing this game and telling my mom that it was part of his military training. He joined the Army sometime in the early 2000's after he lost his job as an airplane mechanic because of 9/11 (most US airlines had major layoffs at the time because everyone was too afraid to fly), and by the mid 2000's, he was a Staff Sergeant and likely learning squad tactics through this game. On March 17, 2008, he was killed in action on his second tour in Iraq near Bagdad by an IED. Although I was 8 the last time I ever saw him, i inherited his love for videogames, specifically tactical and strategy games, and it is so cool to see a piece of my childhood that I had totally forgotten just appear in one of your videos. I'll 100% need to pick this game up now.

This game, its sequal, Conflict Desert Storm 1 and 2 were legit some of my favorite games ever.

I played this entire game on a laptop inside a Navy amphibious assault ship. Along with X-Com. A little bit of Battle for Middle-Earth 2. Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey & Exodus. Watched the entire Harry Potter series. And multiple seasons of Trailer Park Boys. Never did amphibiously assault anything though.

There is an original military version of this game which you can unlock with a cheat code. It was way more fun than the commercial version.

This was such a nostalgia trip. Played this as a teenager. Would be great if a remake of this game was made.

Full spectrum warrior was an attempt st increasing recruiting goals. I served during this time and even owned the game, immediately laughing at the recruiting campaign within it. (I was already in lol)

Both this and Ten Hammers were on my top list of tactical games in early 2000. I wish there was newer games with this gameplay mechanic combined with some Door Kicker when in CQB, that would be massive

Oh, almost always when I see a "You have never played" title it is a game that I had a go at but I had never actually heard of this one which is a real surprise, it looks pretty cool.

I played this game when I was a kid, but it was the Full Spectrum Warrior - Ten Hammers version. I loved it so much, finished it more than 10 times on every difficulty. This game got me into the tactical military stuff.

I loved playing these games as a kid along with Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, Operation Flashpoint, Vietcong and to a lesser extent Conflict Desert Storm Edit: Hidden and Dangerous 2 honourable mention

I have played this game for a matter fact I grew up on this game. I had the Xbox 360 version. This actually gives me lots of flashbacks.

Still one of my favorite games of all time. Playing this when it came out, I ended up joining the Army in 06. I wish they would remake the game, or make a game with similar mechanics with the different teams. Brothers in Arms had an interesting fps with a squad to control mechanic. It'd be 2v2 games where each player commands a 2 man AI team. Cool to see you play this!

This game was pretty popular back in the mid-2000s. I think this is the game where one of your buddies reads the Illiad plenty of times.

I played this when it came out, I was 14! I don't remember a lot of the details but I do remember I got stuck at a part when my dad came in to watch me play (he was an Army SF vet), I asked him for help on what to do. That's when I learned I was playing very conservatively. My dad had me using overwhelming firepower to absolutely steamroll the enemy, completely switched up how I played from then.

The Conflict series was so good, Desert Storm 1& 2 , Vietnam and Global terror were really fun too. My brother and i spent so many hours playing that series in the 2000's. I never knew this existed, looks so similar to conflict desert storm but with better graphics.

Part 2 this is fire😊

Ayy, I've actually played this. Had a demo for the game (or maybe even the full thing) on one of those magazine game discs.

Reason why this era gaming was king is because games now made is that they focus on making a half game to keep gamers lasted on it by saying that it will be fixed or updated with patch updates along side with how to make games with microtransactions

I remember beggin my parrents to buy a new copy because is was so hooked. problably the game what started my interest in more tactical shooter. I remember it was so ahrd to beat but i loved it. Had this game as a kid. Actually streamed & did a review of the game in the past year. It's a gem that was never really done again outside of it's sequel and a SOCOM spin off title on PSP.

Did play this game as a kid, picked it up from piratebay, controls were janky but it's the closest thing to a modern Warfare setting with an Xcom style of gameplay. Heard it was used to train actual US Soldiers...would explain all the War Crimes in Iraq.

One of the best hidden gem game on PS2. Probably my first taste and the best tactical milsim game next to SOCOM US Navy Seals. The gameplay showed me about the fire & movement concepts, including MOUT.
