Takeda is amazing. The fact he didn't make it to MK11 still baffles me to this day. Still my favorite character.

I loved Takeda because he's a combination of what makes Ninja's so good. Projectiles, teleport and the weapons. Also don't forget that he also had Taven's Speed of Light special moves but much more powerful.He also met Taven on his ending, super cool!

I am going to be honest. It is a blessing that Takeda wasn't in mk11. It means we don't have to see him with a more boring slowed down version of his kit.

I had a friend who was really into MKX. He saw I had the game and made me play a lot. I was mostly an Ermac main but he knew how to play Ermac too. So I was looking at another char to learn and somehow I ended up with Takeda. I eventually got good with him that I could use either variant and be pretty effective against my friend. I don't understand why him and Kung Jun weren't in the next game. They made such a big deal about the kombat kids and in the next one they only kept the girls.

Definitely agree! It’s a tough call between Takeda and Nightwolf for my favorite mk character of all time. He’s got an interesting backstory, was trained by the most popular character of the series and is the son of a separate fan favorite. Plus he’s fun to play as, has a jack of all trades play style and some awesome costumes.( admittedly his main is only ok, his shinobi costume is my favorite and a great costume.)

I love the touch with Takeda being associated with the colour orange. His father figures Scorpion has yellow and Kenshi has red, when those colours are mixed you get orange.

Netherrealm - So we can choose 1 of 2 people to be in MK11; an well-written, cool, funny and beloved ninja with great story potential or what is just a mini-Jax that no one likes. I reckon we go with number 2, what a great decision!

Can't believe Hayatei wasn't even mentioned when talking about Ronin. Hayatei's Ronin was my favorite thing to watch in the pro scene for this game, as Honeybee's Flash and Biohazard's Bane were for Injustice 2.

Lasher main here. The mixups Takeda have are down right ridiculous. Playing with him online a lot of people don’t know the matchup and you can condition people soooo much with this variation so many combo routes with lasher I love it.

Lasher's variation specific jump in moves are absolutely great. You can almost do full screen jump ins with those! Thanks for the video Underdawg

All I could look at was how smooth his actions were. The frame rate was realistic and looked like an actual person’s movements were mo-capped 🤙🏼

I love Takeda so much. Two things I believe you missed though are Takeda's normal back forward 2 for the armor and combo launcher/extender, and one more thing. Ylu actually can combo with Ronin's trap meterless. If you do back 2,1 and throw the trap and immediately activate it, often it sends the opponent right to you and I often do down 1 into standing 2,1 to continue the combo. Otherwise great video as always. :)

I think all of the Kombat Kids are cool, but Takeda was definitely my favorite.

As a character wise and gameplay wise he's awesome, he's not just Hanzo's student but basically a son to since he lost his own child he gave him everything he knows and the best thing is he had skills of both his master scorpion and his father Kenshi, even gameplay wise he's fast agile but can also use samurai techniques for me he's easily the most interesting between all of the Kombat kids

I'm 39, played MK since the first ever MK game. Then when MKX came out, Takeda became my favourite character of all time. So upset he wasn't in MK11. But glad he makes a return in MK1. It's release day today and i can't find gameplay of him yet. Guess i need to give it time.
