this is such a small detail, but you balanced the song audio with the show audio just perfectly - you had the sounds of hits and swords that matched the music, but managed to avoid the soundtrack of the show interfering AND didn't overpower the music. really excellently done

This is INCREDIBLE and gives me so much serotonin !!! Also, thanks to the editing at 2:15 , I just realized that the whole "Stede slaps his opponent's ass with his sword thinking it's a classic fencing move, but actually that was just Ed trying to flirt while they were sparring" thing I saw across the fandom is very much canon and it makes me very happy

WOW!! This is the greatest MV! The editing is top notch! How you matched up not only the songs rhythm to beats from the show but also the lyrics to scenes - absolutely fantastic job! And omg the Swede belting the line at 3:23 had me laughing out loud!😂

Everything about this is my favorite part. The timing on the title cards leading up to the curtain parting is just *chef kiss*. The bits from the dinner scene leading up to the first chorus. Different “runaways running the night” each time. Visible queer relationships “it’s everything you ever want” THE SWEDE!! As I’m rewatching new bits keep jumping out at me. It’s all amazing.

This is an absolute masterpiece, thank you so much for it. The juxtaposition of the first 'we talk it through...' and the second one where they all belt out 'as a crew' nearly made me cry. And the closing shot. Just, everything. I'll rewatch this when I'm sad.

OMG OMG I have goosebumps. This is so fucking awesome!!! Not only is this show the greatest show but your edit is SUPERB!! I am going to need to watch a few times to take it all in! Lord, the timing, the vibe -- give yourself a round of applause, or two or three! This is _so great!!_ I need to edit this to say that I have been watching this video several times a day since I found it, and I can't see myself getting tired of it any time soon. I can't believe how long it took me to stumble across this. Good grief!

Oh this slapped so hard! The pacing at the beginning took my BREATH away that I had to watch it twice, and everything else was just such FUN. The whimsicalness of the show really shone through with this edit, as well as the bucket of emotions that I am attempting to nurture until season 2, haha. Thanks so much for creating and sharing!!

Okay holy shit there’s so many details in this edit that I sadly do not have the time to fully break down, but I absolutely ADORE the detail of how most of the clips in the beginning that were used to build up hype were of violence and hits. Yet at the end during the absolute high of the song, all of the clips were of the subtle, domestic, and warm moments of community, showing the true core of the show underneath all the nitty-gritty blood and guts. Absolutely wonderful edit my dude, so many details from the synchronization of the audio to certain scene beats, to even the lyrics having major significance when paired with certain dynamics or events in the story, what a great video!

Mate this is the most god-tier editing I've seen in my LIFE The lyrics match the scenes. The noises match onscreen. The dialogue?? Every Single Line having a particular meaning. The couples. The Swede who's a tenor in the show doing the belt-out. The rhythm matches every onscreen action. Even the damn colors!!! How many hours did you spend on this??? I love this so much!!! The editing is so sharp and on point, the timing is perfect. The intro!!! The slower shots on "it's everything you ever want"!!! HOLY HOLY SHIT THIS IS INCREDIBLE!! Where to even START!! All the perfectly synced sound effects and beats and even the roar! That montage of opening title cards! The perfect choice of scenes to match the lyrics (that curtain opening and bow for 'ladies and gents this is the moment you've waited for'; Badminton haunting Stede in 'stealing your mind'; 'and all that was real was left behind' with them leaving each other behind; Stede's fuckery at 'seeing the impossible coming true'; 'everything you ever want, everything you ever need'; omg I could go on and on)! How every pair gets their time in the spotlight so perfectly, all their kisses! And the progression of plant dying to plant being green, the crew chorusing 'as a crew'! This truly is the greatest show, and this is the greatest vid for the greatest show!

One of my favorite lines is Stede reading a bedtime story to his ragtag crew "where the lost get found in the crown of the circus cage."
