Speaking of Lutherans. When I was around 20 years old... very wayward on drugs and alcohol. I wanted a bit of God but not too much I visited a Lutheran church thinking I could just be religious. Two older ladies (from the Lutheran church I went to the previous Sunday) visited me on a night that I was not expecting and I was very very down. They poured love out on me in my little run down apartment with beer cans laying about. And a roach clearly crawling up the wall that I could see and I could see they could see and they never mentioned. And even though I continued to run from the Lord for several more years the Holy Spirit used that visit to work on my heart and to this day now in my 50's I am grateful for the love those ladies shared with me. One day I will hug them in heaven because I don't remember their names now. God gives us what we don't deserve... His love. Can't we afford to give each other His love when we didn't pay the price for it that He did?

Love the Word of God, I attend a local church in NC and I love my home church. I also love following along with these studies though the Bible, it's truly a blessing to me. 😊

That is where satan is alway tempting me. I constantly battle him for my thoughts. He is always putting thoughts in there and that’s a place I don’t control. I pray a lot for God to protect my mind. Jack, it is always such a great comfort to see a message from you in God's Word. We are in the last moments of our time here and we need to be drawing closer to Christ Jesus each of those moments. Nobody needs to be told by the pastor to stand up or sit down. It is easy and simple to understand and Father God has giving you the ability to understand it already. You don't have to keep asking Father God for the ability to understand it over and over again.

Only thing I have to say is that Christians don't sin because they think they have a pass ,it's because life is hard for some of us .the struggle is real .some people find it easy to have that focus .some people have grown different and at different times our journeys are different our lessons are different. So many mighty men of God let God down in some way in the bible but God lifed them and made them stronger and these mistakes they made helped them on their walk .Jesus always makes a way .
