I don't get it, why would a true Irishman drink lattes?

I did extra work on a huge movie for four days and we couldn't go to the coffee truck because there was an office block overlooking so we had production assistants..... after hearing homer Simpson say it around 30 times I shouted out loud "wheres that kid with me latte" more than once I hadn't even ordered a coffee but someone went and got me a latte.

@@jamescornflake1542 Just put some water in it! Looks so obv empty. They go to such efforts with continuity of makeup and hair but not with adding some bloody weight to a damn cuppa! Its perplexing, there really doesn't seem to be any reason why you wouldn't add some liquid.

@wildebest With the sound effect, probably, but hell, I'm rewatching True Detective (on season 2 atm) and it sticks out that they're most likely using empty coffee cups for the scenes in the motel. So irritating. Why not just fill it with water? Whats the worst that could happen? Your stars staying hydrated? I don't get it! EDIT: Didn't notice you're second post, that makes more sense, spilling it and topping it up, but again, the many alterations to hair and makeup make it seem trivial.

@Jesse Brennan I think it's part of his character. You have the Dublin copper, the "big city boy" and you have the "lowly country nobody", who turns out to be able to tell the subtle difference between a cappuccino and a latte.

@Jesse Brennan Throughout the movie, Guard Boyle constantly antagonizes others to his own amusement as he leads a lonely life with which he's grown comfortable. I think the Latte thing was his another opportunity to screw with someone's head and emotions. Or he might well prefer Lattes. I don;t know. If you have a chance to find the video, Brendan Gleeson does a wonderful dissection of what makes his character click.

Look . Those summers houses by the way are not cottages . The summer houses are down in brittis bay in county Wicklow . The movie was also shot in several other area’s around Wicklow.
