Don Cheadle played the perfect straight man in this. In scene after scene he showed both incredulity and suspicion that Boyle was equal parts country bum and ultra genius.

If people think you're dumb, they underestimate you. If people think you're smart, they're wary of you. But if they can't tell either. They don't know the measure of you and that makes you scarier to anyone who is smart. And anyone stupid will underestimate you anyway.

What an actor Brendan Gleason is.

My favorite movie of all time.

This scene is so poignant. For me, the giant bear of a man in Gleeson, who plays the persistent protector and reaper of realist potential shows such an innocent and childish side, expressed even more so when combined by that split second facial expression of pure contentment and happiness when he says "He's my favorite, Goofy". It's heartbreaking that a man of that calibre has lived his life alone (from what we know) and that at this stage in his adult life, meeting Goofy makes him happy.

I've just discovered this film. Going to buy it. It's an absolute masterpiece.

In 2015 I went to Disneyland in Paris but that was when I was with my evil school there. Ah my favourite classic Disney character there is Donald Duck. And I got a plush toy of Mick Wesalkie he's a winner.
