This thing is way too OP. As soon as any aircraft spawns in, a missile is already flying towards it. Edit: maps are too small for top tier.

And they say its not op but it kills all on their spawn bc of range and invisible missiles and it can also fire on move while others cant

RIP to those poor chaps who thought they could side climb up high to avoid detection. Gaijin says it can't pull too many Gs at terminal phase, but it failed to realise is that at 7k altitude climb most aircraft can't manoeuvre as much too.

I’ve noticed a decent counter to the pantsir is helicopters oddly enough. From my time using it I’ve noticed the radar, while it can see satellites GREAT, doesn’t actually look downwards much. so low flying helicopters can be literally “under the radar”. And with most people looking at the radar more than actually looking around.. you can catch a lot of pantsir players off guard as unless you go too high to get pinged or they physically see you, they likely won’t even know you exist until they see you in the kill-cam. (And with -1 degree of gun depression, there’s a decent chance they just physically can’t shoot you if they’re on even a slight angle! I know this has killed me at least once….)

I liked the former dynamic between CAS and SAM's. If the SAM player was good, it took a while for the CAS pilot to deal with them. Same goes for the pilots. If they were good, SAM's would have a hard time. Two good SAM and CAS pilots fighting each other was like playing whack a mole. Now it's just completely one-sided...

Only way I’ve found to get rid of these things is come in on the deck spot em and drop a GBU above Mach and let it glide to the aa. Otherwise always just a free kill in my F-16 haven’t found anything to affective.

I was trying to grind and finally max out my 2s6 but man I can't get the missiles to do anything anymore it just doesn't track at all and it's high explosive does nothing rip ig I hope that it's a little over nerfed and is not staying like that if it does you already know they gonna put that thing in 10.0 or even hell to say it 9.7 if they feel like it .

Wish the TOR had better pull. 16Gs just isnt enough anymore. it pretty much only works in an ambush setting tbh

I have been trying out new strategies with the F-16A to try and defeat this, it is insane how difficult it is against an aware player. If you somehow manage to immediately turnaround after spawning and survive the first missile, I was able to get very far away from the battle field, about 25km and 10km altitude. At this height I just sent my GBU 8 towards the enemy spawn, it was too hard to see the individual enemy so I sent all 4 before crossing into 18km away from the battlefield. I was able to get a few lucky kills but calling this balanced is far from reality. The other method I have been working on was launching a hellfire in a helicopter the from behind cover and only peaking out on the last few second for final guidance to target. This is simple in theory but very difficult to get the timing right in an actual battle. I have only done this successfully a few times but I think with practice this is more viable. This only works on maps with some sort of cover to hide behind, the trick is make sure you get the targets distance and launch on an object slightly farther behind them, this will make the missile loft a little higher and give you a better chance to guide it in during the final few seconds of flight. Unfortunately if you mess up the timing, there will be a 1350m/s missile heading your way. Another tip for this strategy is to get some forward momentum in the heli before you ascend, this will make your initial ascent faster and give the enemy less time to react. Best of luck to non Russian CAS pilots out there, for now I am going to be flying my migs haha.

took me 3 mins of prep to get into a situation where i could launch in the pantsir before it could launch on me and i only killed it because it missed its shots on my bomb fair and balanced

I love this thing. I never know it can see me so I don’t know that a SACLOS is on its way to my A10 striding yo the battle. Then when it does use TWS on me it appears as S1 beep instead of S1 TONE, but unfortunately it’s blocked by the M21 and M29 signals that are also spamming my RWR

After the SACLOS missile physics changes, this thing is only good at shooting down jets that aren't maneuvering at all. They add a 5G turn to the mix and the missile just can't do it lmao. Same with the VT-1 now too.

As much as it makes me feel dirty I'll be going back to my roots for a while playing this thing. At the moment it looks like as long as you aren't playing this thing brain dead then anything that flies will quickly die. Hopefully this thing will be balanced and the sacrifice of all these CAS pilots won't be in vain.
