Hi there! Welcome to MusicalBkgVocalParlor. I create instrumentals or back up vocals to broadway (and off broadway, and team starkid) musicals, from classics to moderns.

It annoys the heck out of me when people forget to credit the artists and composers that spent so much time and effort into making them. Your new decision is 100% reasonable. I hope you have more luck in the future with people giving you credit.

@@EmareeVA Thank you so much! I've seen a little bit of people properly credit (and I mean like the whole 9 yards, not just adding the link back to the instrumental video or crediting one half). Some people give half credit in a way, some genuinely forget or didn't know, and some just choose to not credit because laziness or ignorance (and some of those people happen to tag every cast and crew member on their covers, but that's a different topic).

Weird question but what’s the time signature for this song?

Moyia Vidler The ballad parts are 12/8 or 6/8, then at: “(you) left me out of your (sight)/did you know that I (wanted)/etc.” It goes to 5/8, then back to 6/8 or 12/8. At the rock parts, it’s 4/4. I apologize if my explanation is vague, but I hope that answers your question. And it isn’t weird, this song is interesting with the unique time signature change.

cthlulu 1, thank you so much! 2, if you have a more specific request, please let me know, don’t hesitate to ask. While I do have requests for songs TGWDLM (Show Stoppin’ Number, La Dee Dah Dah Day, etc.), general requests (you’re not the only one, don’t worry) doesn’t help me to know what to add to my list or what to maybe focus on if highly requested (Ex, Trail to Oregon’s “When the World’s at Stake”). If I got enough people to request (POLITELY) all the songs, then I’ll do it (granted, pretty sure everyone wants the whole show, period). [Disclaimer: Some songs have accessories that I do not have in my music notation program, so I have to either wing it, or find an external tool. Ex. LDDDD’s guitar harmonic/wavy sounds/‘DJ’ CD scratches)

Mayumi Garcia I do not know if you are aware/if you are new (and if you are, hi, welcome) but I made a post on Instagram talking about the Team Starkid’s Fandom’s actions and the drama they bring, so I decided to hold off on Starkid instrumentals till things calm down (it’s kind of like when teachers punish a whole class for one student’s idiotic decisions). I apologize about the inconvenience, but unless it is commissioned for my time to work on “What Do You Wan Paul!”, it will be held off while I work on Broadway/Off-Bway songs. HOWEVER, I will add the song to my request list, but unfortunately it is on hold. Again, I apologize about the inconvenience. I hope you understand.

I asked one of the people who are organizing the event and she said it should probably be okay as long as I don’t sing the one f-word, and I’m probably going to cut out the couple of seconds of the song about Deb just in case. hahayourfunny94 1. If you mean the warning cards and such, that’s more so for time to read/can always pause it. If you mean the ballad parts, I went by the cast recording, and that’s the tempo that was most similar. I apologize about that. 2. Thank you so much!

Ellie Irvine-Ward So, I plan to make an A/N regarding requests and recent events. 1.) I will be focusing on Broadway/Off Broadway instrumentals due to the fandom of Starkid being negative. I will be releasing 2 instrumentals from Starkid when I get back to compensate for some time until things cool down. 2.) Your request is too vague of an answer (multiple people have said similar requests), as doing the whole musical would be a lot. 3.)
