• What is Faith Is Not B...
"The witness more powerful than sight applies especially to the roles of actual, demanding experience and developing a witness that one knows the Savior. It's one thing to know about Him, or even to see Him, but quite another to know Him. And that higher degree of knowing usually comes after complexity - often it comes because of the complexity."

Doctrine and Covenants 130 2 And that same sociality which exists among us here will exist among us there, only it will be coupled with eternal glory, which glory we do not now enjoy. 18 Whatever principle of intelligence we attain unto in this life, it will rise with us in the resurrection. 19 And if a person gains more knowledge and intelligence in this life through his diligence and obedience than another, he will have so much the advantage in the world to come. These are the things we will bring with us in the next life. Our knowledge, relationships, and our character.

The question of not knowing Church history can be a real problem for youth if their parents have not unwittingly passed the knowledge on to them. A good example is when I was teaching the old Valiant class. I was teaching about Temple work for the dead. One of my class really believed that we took the dead bodies and baptised the corpse. This really shocked me! I was so happy to put her mind right on that matter straight away!

When I found out the church was no longer true it really affected me. I felt alone and had no one to talk to because very few members including leaders were aware. Luckily I had a testimony of Jesus Christ which was where I placed my trust. Although I remained a member, I lost all trust and confidence in the church leaders. I kept it to myself which was unhealthy. Although I no longer believe in the church. I believe in Jesus Christ. I know that is not good enough in the eyes of the church. But honestly it was all I had that I could trust anymore. I don't feel I am welcomed in the church cause I am a non believer. So I have found a Christian church where I can feel fellowship and learn the word of God. This is my experience whether helpful or not. I am saddened when so many of our young people leave and become atheist or agnostic. Anyone reading this. Please keep your faith and testimony based in Christ. He is the one person you can still trust in a world that has fallen.

@@Come.Back.Podcast Your welcomed! As a side note for those experiencing a "faith crises". It is not your fault! If someone suggests you have done something wrong is a tactic used by Satan to make you feel as a failure and separate you from knowledge in Jesus Christ. 🙏

Thank you for these come back podcasts keep them up satan is suporting the dont go back podcasts and i think those that have left their testimony of the church is still there they have just come off the straight and narrow path to explore temptations of the world that sounds like more fun then they loose their faith and the holy spirit to suport their testimony even though when you leave your not encouraged to pay thithing you can do what you like sundays etc you miss the peace and blessings the church brings and we are looked after spiritually and financially and physically if we go to church

The Holy Ghost all that matter. All knowledge can simply gone no matter how brilliant a person was. The Holy Ghost is much more than a scar, it is light that give life, His print no one can erase.

Just a little history lesson. There was a man named Walter Martin who was challenging every Latter-day Saint to have open debate. This was back in the '70s early '70s, and this battle between pastors and Latter-day Saints was rampant. You had The tanners who were on their pitch about the bad things in our history. So we were preparing ourselves well and then an open debate with one of the members in Southern California Walter Martin got schooled. He then sued the church and brother Johnson. Because of this act by Walter Martin and the publicity it was gaining the church decided to make a policy and an idea that public debates were no longer advisable. Problem now we're not preparing our young people on issues, but that would only come up with those who were against the church, and then we were not speaking about them and the homes. Why speak about something that is negative towards church? If nobody is going to talk about it anyway. We made her enemies our friends or uninformed at best and did not take them as a threat anymore. Now the internet has exposed. Nothing that was not taught before and our historical past, but you have least three generations. Generations had never heard of it because of the idea that we should not engage in any debate at all.

@@Come.Back.Podcast and that's what spawn the idea of my head or recalled what I knew about the situation. Actually some of my family actually in-laws and Orange county new brother Johnson who was sued by Walter Martin. I've searched it on Google and you can find the transcript of the court filings or the briefs of the case. But eventually the whole thing was thrown out because it was based on false accusations of course.

Simple as this, what a man thinketh so is he. Inside your bucket depends what you put therein, and the same thing you drawn inside out. The gospel of Jesus Christ remain true at all time no matter how imperfect its stewards. Hebrew5, a good sample to begin. The whole chapter, latter end explaining learning the hard thing to grind. Luke is a huge troll on many of the faithful podcasts out there. He spends all of his energy attacking the Lord and his church but is never critical of the likes of John Dehlin (Mormon Stories Church), Jeremy Runnels, and other heavyweight apostates. He drinks the koolade John feeds him but doesn't have any original thoughts of his own lol
