What am I doing? I’m going to prepare for the most glorious way to go out. Charging right into the face of ferocity. Then when I make it to the upper room, I’m strutting knowing I went out a warrior. LOL All seriousness though, always enjoyed seeing the Haka. Also it’s good that the descendants from the islands maintain awareness of its cultural significance. It’s actually pretty wholesome

@FCB_Tomiwa Just because they Pacific Islanders, doesn't mean it's theirs. We're not a monolith. Theres no such thing as a Pan Pacific or Pan Poly Culture. Each Island has its own unique culture. In this case, these are a bunch of Islanders from Hawai'i doing a war dance that has nothing to do with their country/state. It's all just for show.

At tangi (funerals) it's a different feeling behind it absolutely. It's our last goodbye to our whanau (family) our call for our ancestors to call them home, welcome them, keep them safe and know we will meet again one day soon. It's very emotional. Even with tears in our eyes we will toutoko our loved one.
