Alhamdulillah in Albania the whole country gets days off for both Eids.

Alhamdulillah in my country almost all religion’s big holiday is national holiday. Muslim gets off for both eids and so does the non muslim. Everyone also get off day for Christmas, lunar year, day, Nyepi day, etc Of course in some companies or certain field of work they may not be able to take days off because of the company’s policies. Especially the essential workers. May Allah bless them for their hard work and also for all of us. Aamiin.

As in UK Islam is the 2nd largest religion, Government should need to make a decision about making Eid days atleast 1 day as National Holiday...this is my opinion based on situation...

In my 90% muslim country Christians Buddhists and Hindus have national Holiday on their festival, they don't need to ask for it everytime. Why can't the west do it then?

National holiday or not but should allow Muslims those days off if not emergency situations

Don’t you guys have like a number of yearly holidays? Like o always take holidays in advance , and it’s never been a problem. The only problem is when one needs a holiday around Christmas , which I don’t.

Sadly the Bangladeshi catering community in the uk will cut your pay or fire you and yet those very same bosses go to jummah Salah most sell alcohol. Astaghfirullah

A goat sheep or a "cow?" I didn't know you could also sacrifice cows in Eid

Our brothers should not be explanative for Eid holidays, Eid is for Allah, just say I am taking off, it's personal. Leave rest to Allah, everything from Allah, the giver is giving all days salary, if we opt for a day leave, instead of salary we get 1 day full blessings. Suppose it tight schedule of project, pray you Eid salah on appointed time and place and get back to work.

Imagine if Dubai enforces hijab on worker for all European workers

In India Eid ul fitr and Eid ul Adha both are marked as national holidays.
