@@Mijangox i think there's a sotn hard type around, just Google it. I played for a bit but didn't finish for some reason, guess I wasn't in the mood. IMO you can just avoid a few of the more overpowered options, which is easier said then done. If you want a few challenge run ideas let me know :3 I even did a few on my channel (not this channel)

@@beniplays25 don't mind me if I do try it out :0 even then, if you want a challenge you should probably just get the ps4 SOTN as it has the Maria mode from the PSP port (or emulate the PSP port). Maria mode is kinda hard as she's very frail. I was wearing no armor just weapons and the ring of ares for this one :)

@@Mijangox oh i did play maria mode XD it was indeed quite challenging. I tried both alucard and richter minimal amount of kills. fists only. no equipment (besides mandatory), sub weapons only, i dont recall now if i actually did spells only. those are all quite fun, challenging but not masochistic

@@Mijangox hey man ! Play the new Saturn Ultimate Edition rom hack (I got it with the hack preinstalled on CD Romance) on a saturn emulator. Do luck mode ON hard mode. Shit is actually really rough lol

I honestly think Slogra and Gaibon are the hardest boss in Symphony. In Luck mode its even possible you could die.

Possibly hot take but I've always found the Hippogryph to be one of the hardest. Not only is it really strong for how far you are in the game, but there are literally NO save points from the bottom of the stairs to the boss fight so dying means doing the entire level all over again.

My girlfriend would agree. She played it for the first time awhile back and she never beat the Hippogryph for those reasons.@@bvgmusic573

That one room with three azghul, or whatever those red ghosts wielding giant swords are, takes it for me. I kept bumping into their hitboxes the size of ohio

@@adi96adi YES. Those and the Puppet Swords in the Holy Chapel and Olrox's Quarters are really tough to deal with, I usually resort to using axes.

If you have 2 Rings of Varda equipped plus the Crissaegrim , this boss is even easier to defeat.

That Cthulhu patrolling one of the Marble Gallery corridors is the hardest boss :^)

If they ever remake this game, they need to give some of these guys more HP or some i-frames. Especially if they're stuck to the ground like The Creature or Akmodan II. In terms of hard boss fights in the base game, I'd say Slogra and Gaibon if it's your first time playing the game or are playing on Luck Mode, Doppelgangers if you didn't bring a stopwatch, Hipogryph due to the leadup to it, Granfalloon if you don't realize you can ignore the meat droppings, Medusa mostly due to her shield, Beelzebub for residing in a part of the screen that can be hard to reach, the Fake Trio for being a 3v1, Galamoth, and maybe the final Dracula if you don't understand how his attack pattern works. Everything else ranges from neutral to complete pushover. Some of the basic enemies actually put up more of a fight

Galamoth I think is the hardest. By that point you already have the Alucard shield, but Galamoth was the only boss I remember being forced to use the shield on.

The hardest SotN boss is the Ball&Chain guy and the Demon guy in Marble Gallery's basement if you go early, followed by Garamoth if you decide to refrain from dual-Crissaegrimming his shins, 3rd is both Doppelgangers if you're at the appropriate level, 4th is Nova Skeletons and those small spiky chariots that slam you in inverted castle, and the entirety of the rest of everything is just butter for you to cut through

I love SoTN but this game is too fucking easy, I really need to have an effort to have a hard time in the game, you can get the Crissaegrim in under 5 minutes and the second half of the game is fucking over, in the inverted castle particularly the amount of extremely OP stuff is immense such as Alucard Sword itself, Crissaegrim, Ring of Varda, Runesword....
