Diana was put in an impossible situation where her husband was in love with another woman from the start. His family surrounded her, as did the press, and she was very alone. It's amazing that through all of that, she maintained her dignity and put focus on humanitarian efforts, especially towards world poverty and HIV/AIDS awareness. She was also a mother her children loved, and inspired them to reflect her values in their own lives and charitable work. Influential in so many ways.

Phoenix, What you have written sounds alright, except that it is not the way that it was. Diana was charming, and she charmed Charles, just as much as she charmed others. There is absolutely no evidence , NO EVIDENCE that Charles cheated on Diana with Camilla or anyon else in the first five years of the marriage. Yet within that five years, Charles was clearly desperately unhappy, and Diana was clearly suffering from bulimia. What went wrong? Diana had a bad childhood from the start. 4th child in the family where they NEEDED a boy to inherit. Child 3 was a boy who died, so the birth of yet another girl was a disappointment. Unlike Charles, there are NO photos o Diana in a loving relationship with her parents. Her mother left home when she was eight, and she attempted to pay her mother out.... for the rest of her life. Her father remarried, and Diana attempted to pay him out, for the rest of his life. Her AIM in life was to marry a pince, and her target was the Prince of Wales. Sh had the beauty and charisma, and was as tall as a catwalk model. She charmed him. BUT she came to the marriage with a great load of baggage: school failure, resentment, jealousy over her parents remarriage, bad behaviour that had got her successive nannies sacked, eating disorders and self-harm. Apart from her beauty, charm and the fact that she was the daughter of an Earl, she was personally just about the LEAST suitable woman he could have married. She was a Fragile Narcissist. This implies that rather than being grandiose and outwardly bullying, she saw herself as a perpetual victim, and blamd her husband, and her family for every problem, failure or annoyance. Yes, she had an outward persona of charm and service. She was photographed countless times visiting the sort of Charities that she enjoyed. She was great at playing the Princess for sick children and dying veterans. The notion that she ACTIVELY campaigned is a misrepresentation. Sh accepted invitations, signed the book and had her name as Patron on the letterhead. Charles did NOT go out and about with her, because she was quite viciously spiteful, and could be extremely embarrassing in public. In these pictures, where William appears to be nine or ten, the marriage had been over for years. Diana had been having lovers since the year of Harry's birth, 1984 That action constituted Treason. Charles ceased sharing her bed. Camilla came back into his life in 1986. So in this video, which talks about rumours..... the Marriage was finished, unofficially. By this time, Diana was in a relationship with James Hewitt. Diana WAS indeed clinging to the boys, because appearing the "ideal mother" was part of the game that she played to maintain status, publicity and popularity. In fact, she manipulated the children's loyalties, continually became jealous of their nannies and sacked them, played favourites between the boys, and subjected them to her bouts of screaming tantrums, and emotional blackmail. So almost everything that is in this video is uninformed speculation.

@@MandyJMaddison Diana had massive problems, and most of those were self-inflicted. She was highly manipulative, always courting media attention while at the same time complaining about it. It was all an act. Camilla is not this way at all. She is who she is, and Charles adores her. When did he EVER call Diana "his darling wife"? I don't think he ever did. He does this with Camilla all the time, not because he is trying to impress people but because he is absolutely besotted with her. It isn't hard to understand why somebody feels this way about his perfect match. Diana was not in any manner, shape, or form suitable for him. The only good that came out of the marriage were the boys.

As she only married into royal family she could not be called Princess Diana. It was worldwide media who gave her that title. The queen did not give her that honour. She was Diana, Princess of Wales or Princess Charles of Wales but never ever Princess Diana. Only those born of royal blood can use prince or Princess before their names

Yes, Diana wanted to be Queen. Why else do you think an extremely beautiful young woman of nineteen would set her cap at a man who was Heir to the Throne? She had met Charles a couple of times earlier, and she knew he was no Prince Charming. There was nothing about Charles that would make a young woman fall madly in love with him.... except the fact that whoever he married would done day be Queen. He had NOTHING ELSE to offer Diana. He was 32, balding, the perfect model for a newspaper cartoonist, was diligent, dedicated, and was widely regarded as eccentric because of his attitudes to everything involved in environmental protection. He liked all sorts of pursuits in which Diana had no interest whatsoever- hill-walking, fishing, polo, hunting, live theatre, classical music, reading, painting, and religion. And most of all, he was absolutely DEDICATED to HIS MOTHER. Charles dedication to his mother was not because he was a "Mummy's boy". It was because he was her heir as reigning monarch, and because he had knelt at her feet and sworn himself her "liegeman of life and limb". Any woman who married Charles simply had to accept her position. The Queen IS the QUEEN. Diana never accepted this. You will be very hard pressed to find even one picture of Diana curtseying to her. She used to put her earphones in her ears, and walk past the Queen in the corridors of Buckingham Palace without even saying Good Morning Ma'am, let alone curtseying. Diana simply tried to pretend that the Queen did not exist. She acted like a silly resentful school child.... and directed at her the same attitude that she had for her mother and stepmother. Everybody imagines that Camilla was the enemy in Diana's life. She wasn't!. Diana only went to the Queen when she wanted to complain about the Queen's SON. That was kind, wasn't it?. It is hard for someone who is unaware of protocols to realise the extent to which Diana got up the Queen's nose. HGer FINAL act was saying "I just want to be Queen of Hearts". You might think that this sounds SOOO SWEEET! Dear Diana jus wants to LOOOVE people! No. What this is about is being the PREMIER QUEEN in the pack. This is about the love and loyalty that is due to the REAL MONARCH. And Diana, whose popularity was dependent on her BEAUTY more than any other factor, was indeed able to steal what rightfully belonged to the Queen. She was able to do it, NOT because she REALLY CARED, not because she worked hard, not because she supported charities.... but simply because she had CHARISMA, which the Queen, Charles and Princess Anne never had. Diana is the "Queen of Hearts" because of her charisma. Nothing else.

The royal family wanted someone who will be loved naturally by the people, who is a virgin, and an innocent who will follow the rules. They got an innocent girl who became the definition of a real princess who loved so much and with a real golden heart. In return, what did she get? Jealousy from all the royal family; I don't believe it's just Charles, it was all of them. The most unfortunate part of it was her death. Princess Diana was loved and hopefully his sons protect their wives as well because they already know how it goes down within their family.

Linda Dickinson, Diana was supported by a team- she had Ladies in Waiting (some of whom were experienced, and one of whom, in the early day, was her sister.). It meant that she had a woman at every official function who was there specifically to make things go smoothly for her. > Diana had a full-time secretary, who vetted her mail, answering most of it for her. They maintained her appointment diary, briefed her on protocol, and wrote her speeches. > Diana had an armed body guard who was near her at all public venues... followed up by a security detail if needed. Her detective was often the man who appears to be accompanying her at event, rather than Charles. (She preferred him to her husband in EVERY way). > Diana's Grandmother, Lady Fermoy, had been in Royal circles for years. She was the Queen Mother's Lady in Waiting. She KNEW EVERYTHING that a woman would need to know about Royal protocol. Diana only had to ring her. But a few years into the marriage, when Lady Fermoy discovered that Diana was cheating on the Prince, she broke her previously supportive contact. > The notion that Diana "taught" the Monarchy, and somehow "upgraded" it or "brought it into the twentieth century" is nonsense. * If you are talking about a family that has served through two world wars, ..... then holding ople's hands and hugging kids does not BRING THEM UP TO DATE. You CANNOT bring an old Dowager Queen who has cleaned a soldier's putrid wounds up to date by showing her how to hold a sick man's hand. You CANNOT bring a Queen who has worked as a mechanic on ambulances, and driven through bombed London to recover the injured from under piles of bricks, up to date by walking through a clean sterile hospice and chatting to people. You CANNOT bring an old Prince up to date, when he has instigated the building of playgrounds and cricket pitches in bombed areas of Britain's industrial cities, by showing him that YOU cuddle kids!. You CANNOT bring you Sister in Law up to date... when SHE is the person who drives around war-torn Africa delivering food and medicine to starving communities, just by having you photo taken with a legless child on your knee. You CANNOT bring your husband up to date, when he is the person who has found funds to put one million disadvantaged youths into businesses and university, just by taking him to a soup kitchen. > Understand that while the Royal Family WORKED, beautiful charming Diana played around the edges of people's sufferings, and had her photo taken while she was doing it!

Diana changed the world! She steps into rooms where death was like sitting close by. The time when people had horrible fear to touch a person who is having HIV. She just did what was right - steped in and shaking hands with no fear. She was the light of hope - she showed what matters for her - having respect for every living human - no matter what religion or colors are.
@MandyJMaddison
@MandyJMaddison 3 жыл бұрын
@@Surfing1709 The National Health Service and researchers on HIV/Aids had studied the likelihood of the disease being spread by ordinary contact- living with a person, nursing them, or touching their skin, such as shaking hands. They had published papers to dispel the fear. But people do not read scholarly journals. So they looked for a celebrity to PROMOTE the findings. The most famous celebrity of the day was Diana. They asked her to get involved. She agreed. The day BEFORE Diana held the hand of man with HIV/Aids, a newspaper leaked the story that Diana was going to do this, SPECIFICALLY for a PRESS PROMOTION. > You might want to believe that this was a beautiful, spontaneous, charitable act by Diana. It wasn't. It was en event that took place in front of a huge crowd of INVITED press photographers. After the photo was taken, Diana chatted for a few minutes, then sanitised her hands. The photo taken with a legless African child on her knee was similarly a press event, organised by the Anti Land Mines campaign. > Diana was the FACE of the promotion. And the publicity that SHE received from these photos have caused people to believe that she was a Saint. > The DIANA PROMOTION changed the people's perceptions. > BUT when you talk about Diana's ACTIONS, then you need to understand what she did and what she DID NOT DO. Diana dressed herself elegantly and had her beautician do her face and her hairdresser do her hair.... every morning. (HM the Queen does her own hair and powders her own face). Diana then walked into a Nursing home or other such body, with all the cameras flashing. She chatted pleasantly with a few people, smiled at a few others, and ALWAYS held someone's hand for a Press Photo. Then she walked out, making a rude comment about the smell, as she went. > Meanwhile, her Sister-in-Law was visiting PRISONS. I suppose that the prisoners would rather have had beautiful Diana than straight-speaking Anne who talked about their sentences and their lives behind bars. While Diana was going to the Children's hospital and receiving bouquets and getting her famous face on the front of the paper, hugging a baby, What was Anne doing? She was out in Biafra in Africa or Bangladesh, both places affected by war and severe drought. There were children dying of STARVATION lying around everywhere. Anne's job was to HEAD UP the organisation that raised funds for food and medicine. She didn't CUDDLE the starving babies. She was NOT there to have her photo taken for the paper. She was there to supervise the distribution f food and medicine. > Yes Diana saw people dying, clean, and medicated in hospital. Diana also saw well-scrubbed children with healed wounds, in Africa. But ANNE walked among children with their bellies blown up like footballs and their bodies shrunk to little skeletons, and maggots crawling out of their sores. > And the IRONY of this is that it was the PROMOTIONAL PHOTOS of Diana that changed people's attitude to landmines and HIV/Aids. People in England RECALL that Diana walked through their hospital and smiled beautifully. The people who Princess Anne nurtured in Bangaldesh DO NOT tell their stories to the News service. > But some do. I have had a young man with cerebral palsy tell me how Princess Anne gave him the confidence to ride a horse, and how patiently she plodded around in the mud, beside the horse, partly supporting him. at her charity, Riding For the Disabled.

For all she went through, all the heartaches, the rejection by her husband, the Camilla horrors, her sicknesses and the paparazzi and finally the crashed Mercedes, I am so grateful that we had her at all. So maybe her fate has always been to marry Charles and by doing so, we found a shy young lady in the spotlight, which otherwise we might have never become aware of. Thus having begot a public platform, we became to know and love her. Her compassion and her love for everyone in need, she brought comfort and smiles to everyone. We were truly blessed and had the privilege to know her. The overwhelming sadness at her death just made us realise what an Angel we have lost. This is twaddle straight out of your imagination. None ever described Diana as a good listener. Diana's engagement with people was on an extremely shallow level. She held hands. She stroked cheeks. And she spoke a few verbal platitudes. She didn't listen listen to the suffering and solve their problems. She did not have the intellect, the organisational ability or the courage to do that. What Diana did well was public promotions that required having her photo taken. But the royal family do not do anything that is overtly promotional. This brought Diana into some conflict with the royal family, not because of the charities she supported but because her actions were overtly promotional. The first of these major promo shoots was for the British medical association to promote their findings that hiv/aids was not readily transmissible by ordinary contact. While Diana's attendance at the aids hospice and her taking the hand of a sick man might have seemed spontaneous to the viewer, it was a planned promotion attended by a huge press delegation. Likewise, the trip to Angola on which she spent two days meeting leaders and being photographed with victims, was a carefully planned and orchestrated promotion. But to Diana's horror, the geographic society then invited her to address a meeting, and she had to get someone to write a speech that she could read. Her actual engagement with the issue and real ability to express herself is most clearly shown when a reporter asks "why are you involved in this, and she looks at him blankly and says "because it is a worthy cause," this was her stock answer. Another stock answer was" because they so deserve it" And while Diana was having her photo taken walking along a well beaten path past a warning sign, the real princess, Princess Anne, was somewhere out inafrica, driving herself around in a four wheel drive, delivering food and medicine, supervising the workers and assessing the needs of the starving and disposed people. The person who looked, who listened, who planned, who raised funds, who problem solved, who directed operations, who delivered the food, medicine and education, who really cared, was never your soppy blushing deceitful, promiscuous Diana. It has always been her plain, not very charming sister in law. But you probably don't want to know that, because Anne has never played the victim, doesn't blush and hang her head

The day of what would have been her 61 birthday on July 1st is coming up she'll be remembered for many generations to come. 💞 we will continue thinking and talking about this wonderful woman and human being for many more years to come.

The fact that Charles went onto marry his mistress must be a dagger to the heart for his children. Their mother suffered every day seeing the man she loved and had children with, cheat on her continuously.
@MandyJMaddison
@MandyJMaddison 2 жыл бұрын
You have just one thing right here- "Diana suffered every day". This is true. Diana suffered every day from the effects of childhood emotional neglect. She suffered from the paranois that she would not be loved, or that someone else might be loved more. She never understood the embracing nature of love- that loving people can be happy and be themselves in each other's company without demanding continual attention and reassurance. Diana suffered from having the emotional maturity of a 2 year old. You know, because everyone who knows about her knows that Diana had bulimia. That means she craved food and stuffed herself obsessively on rich food, junk food, sweet food, Mars Bars etc. Then she would make herself vomit it all up again. Well, the Bulimia was the part that was easiest to diagnose, because it was a recognised eating disorder. But it was not the only problem. Diana needed ATTENTION in the same way as she needed Mars Bars.........more and more and more attention. Some of this attention came through PROPER and ACCEPTABLE channels. Diana could go out several times a week and get really good positive attention from visiting charities, meeting people, smiling and chatting, and acting in a charming way. That was the good side of it. The bad side was the way she behaved with her spouse, and her successive lovers. They could NEVER give her enough attention.... and she drove them away by her obsessive behaviour......like ringing a man 300 times in 24 hours! This need for attention meant that if Charles DID NOT pay attention all the time, she believed he had someone else. She also needed sympathy and sex......much more sex than she got from Charles. She needed it the way she needed Mars Bars.......lots and lots and lots.....so she went from man to man. We can name at least 12 of them easily, and I know of at least three others. 15 years after she married Charles, she said "There were always three of us in the marriage." There is absolutely NO EVIDENCE that this is true. There is no evidence to DISbelieve Camilla's statement that she did not get back with Charles until 1986- two years after the marriage UNOFFICIALLY ended because of Diana's promiscuous behaviour. You may not WANT to believe this, but this is the truth. Diana DID suffer. She suffered from very destructive mental illness, beginning in her childhood.

The Straight Truth is that the Royal Family ALLOCATES the charities which its members take on. Diana was ALLOCATED the EASIEST charities.... particularly those that let her stay in London. Diana was ALLOCATED the largest children's hospital (Greater Ormond Street Hoepital for Children), the Red Cross, the HIV/Aids Charity (which was a newly formed and highly topical charity), the Royal Ballet (because she LIKED ballet), and various Nursing Homes and Hospices. All these charities brought POPULAR ATTENTION from the PRESS. THIS is why YOU THINK that Diana was "genuine" and "caring". > Diana DID NOT go to places that were DIRTY, or potentially dangerous. If people were waving placards in the street...... and complaining about their loss of employment, or their housing problems....... Then it was CHARLES who went there. While Dina went to the kiddies hospital, it was PRINCESS ANNE who went to visit the teenagers IN JAIL. > THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GENUINE CARING AND PUTTING ON A SHOW FOR THE MEDIA.

You don't get engraved bracelet for "friend" during the run up to your marriage!
@MandyJMaddison
@MandyJMaddison 3 жыл бұрын
Let me explain this. Nobody has ever suggested the bracelet was "for a friend". It was bought, for his EX_mistress. as a personal thanks and memento. Charles is a man who will one day be KING. His name is already in the history books. On the Day he was born in November 1948, the Royal Artillery fired 40 cannons in London. And far away in Wellington, on the other side of the world, forty cannons were fired to celebrate his birth. The same happened in Australia, Canada, Singapore, Fiji, and on the little island of Saint Helena in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Because of his birth, Diana was not just marrying an ordinary man that she had fallen in love with. Charles is History. That means that the women who had been his companions and mistresses before his marriage, are also History. As a gentleman, and a prince, he could not just cast them aside. Charles told Diana that there were FOUR (not just Camilla) women who had been important to him , and that he planned to take each one out to lunch and give each one a goodbye gift. THAT was the point at which Diana started to sulk, rage, threaten, bully and make his life miserable. It was too late for Charles, as a gentleman, to pull out of the marriage. If Diana was REALLY concerned, then SHE could pull out. But she didn't. She had a week or so to think about it, because Charles had to go away to represent the Queen. Diana chose to go right on with the engagement. Did she LOVE HIM so very much? No. Diana was in love with the idea of being Queen. I will say again. There is NO EVIDENCE that Charles continued in his relationship with Camilla after the engagement. They got together again five years later, when the marriage had been completely broken down for over a year.

@MandyJMaddison
@MandyJMaddison 3 жыл бұрын
@@belinhel Who is Lady C? It is not possible that Charles and Camilla spent the night before the wedding together. There was a huge party at Buckingham Palace that went on into the wee small hours. Charles was there, entertaining all his relatives. There is no question about this. It is a fact that was documented in video recordings at the time. Besides which, you are blowing out of proportion the role that Camilla played in his life. She was not a "great passion". She was a very good friend, and an occasional convenient f**k. Camilla did not achieve her status as the "most important woman in his life" until Diana had completely relinquished that role, with half a dozen other men. Keep in mind that Diana MADE THE RECORDED STATEMENT that in 1984 she had fallen deeply in love with a man who was "the best man I ever had in my life".
@belinhel
@belinhel 3 жыл бұрын
@@MandyJMaddison yes you’re right about that party ! I was appalled because that never came out before but I saw a few Charles and Camilla KZfaq videos and I heard that on 2 of them. I guess it wasn’t a big secret but Lady Colin Campbell on her KZfaq channel would verify or tell more about that if you ask. She answers questions and her show is about every 3 days usually. She wrote Diana’s first biography. But yes if you watch Charles Camilla and Diana KZfaq channels it always comes up 🤨. But I don’t think Diana ever found that out, it appears to be more recent news since C and C’s wedding, then shows were produced about it all.

She made sure Diana's happiness was destroyed by all means. It's going to be a serious bad dream and nightmares for the people England if ever she is installed as their queen. What a shame and a disgrace! She shouldn't have been allowed into the family. Diana is still above her in her death and will ever be above her. Diane is and will ever be the queen. RIP Diana! The tears weren’t the first signs of anxiety nor the tears when Charles left for Australia as we all very well have now come to know. It was the fact that she was also dealing with the knowledge that her husband to be was in love with another woman whilst Diana was so truly obviously madly in love with him. All that for a young naive romantic 19 year old girl. No wonder she became a little unbalanced at times - driven to it. Otherwise she was as stable as any average person. Then she dies so tragically. It’s Shakespearean in its tragedy and such a warm vivacious loving beautiful person. It’s the saddest story of all the royal history
