My 97 3rd gen blew it's head gasket after 25 years and 341k miles of daily driver duty. I paid almost $1900 for a newer engine to be installed and it runs great now. These old trucks are worth keeping on the road and maintenance money is way better than a car payment

Kudos to your battery. I have started my cars (Ford's, Chevy's, Hyundai's) at much lower temps(-40s) here in Canada easily on the first try without block heaters(so it's not a Toyota or Lexus thing, any modern car will start easily). However when temps drop too low, it's always recommended to use Battery warmers & chargers, Block Heaters & appropriate engine oil, so as to reduce pollution & aid in a faster warmup.

This is my updated dream car now. I already own a Corolla but these potholes and where I live has constant snow. I need something to ram through this and not have to worry about damage to my vehicle

I’m looking into getting one of these, but I’m concerned about safety. I’ve seen some crash tests online and they didn’t look like they did so well… from people that own 4 runners or have gotten in the crash with them how did they do?
