Just to be clear, they aren't called Hashira because they are compassionate humans, they are "Hashira" because they are the best at killing demons in order to protect humanity. That doesnt mean they lack compassion altogether; they are all uniquely different, yet highly skilled individuals. From a logical standpoint, and their own pasts, they have no reason to believe or trust in a demon just because some kid makes a promise. They have each devoted their lives to eradicating Demons, without exception. A "good demon" is basically unheard of up until this point.

Well hashiras doesn't hate tanjiro..they just have their own point of views and every point of view is valid whether its from tanjiro or hashira

It actually makes sense why sanemi stabbed Nezuko Because demons need blood when they need energy and for her to regenerate the cuts it well cost her energy So it would be a perfect test to see if she we’ll attack humans It’s rude but smart

Sanemi is the best, he is a demon slayer, it makes sense he wouldn’t just trust a demon after he’s prob dealt with horrible things during his life regarding demons & that’s his whole profession

Hashiras’ passions are so strong against demons that it doesn’t really matter what anyone says. Also she’s the first good demon

I feel like Tanjiro's headbutt on the Wind Hashira was just luck... Even though Giyu distracted Shinazugawa for a second, Tanjiro did still take the opportunity and landed the headbutt... But if Tanjiro were to try that again Shinazugawa would beat him to a pulp. 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️

Yeah, and even with sanemi being distracted they were all impressed that tanjiro managed to hit sanemi. So it was most definitely luck mixed with distraction

I loved him from the start, even when he stabbed Nezuko I didn't care 😭😭😭his character is just so beautiful and when his backstory got explained I shed so many tears, he's such a pure soul but very stupid 😒but he's very kind...

@@exessen1684 this was from a year ago, I'm a different person now I promise !!!!😭😭😭I think what I should've said was although he was unnecessarily violent towards Nezuko, I still wanted to know more about his character and why he was that way, and we find out later in the story, which solidified my love of his character. that was so weird of me to say, I'm embarassed 😭😭

Sanemi is marechi (feast for demon), they dont address in this episode why she was drooling beside being stabbed and bleeding out it's not really important spoiler, but for context why Nezuko having tough time

Eyyy big kudos for pronouncing all the hashiras correctly. As much as japanese is a phonetic language it's hard to get the vibe of it at 1st glance.

Japanese has a double meaning of the notation of Chinese characters and the meaning of Japanese voice. There are times when they are about the same or different. rengoku is purgatory, u is in space, zui is bone marrow, kanro is sweet dew, and mitsu is honey.

The big takeaway here as the show introduces the upper rank Slayers is just how poorly their sense of justice compares with Tanjiro's. So many of them are paranoid, cold, vindictive. We can assume that the impact demons have had on their lives goes a way toward justifying their demeanors. But Tanjiro has lost just as much as anyone could to demons and yet he is so far beyond the Hashira with regard to emotional intelligence, compassion, decency, and kindness. I haven't read ahead in the manga, but as I expect Tanjiro will eventually end up becoming the Hashira that slays Kibutsuji, it's nice that they've set the foundation here for how much he differs from the Hashira who came before him.

I think you are heavily slighting the hashira here because literally anyone who’s seen and experienced the things they have would think the same because they’ve no reason to trust Tanjiro or Nezuko /especially/ without proof. Tanjiro’s compassion for demons is the exception in their world and it makes for a good trait for the protagonist to have but that doesn’t mean their stance is wrong by any means.

@@kunikuzushis Their actions in this episode are most certainly wrong. Even if the position is all demons must die, Nezuko was tortured here, in front of her brother, for no reason at all.

i think sanemi is the coolest hashira his fighting style is 🔥 my fav hashira - sanemi fav female hashira - mitsuri hashira i respect most and 2 fav - muichiro my least fav hashira - rengoku and iguro
