I feel like you wont read this but, Gyomei uses stone breathing which lets him use a spatial awareness thingy like inosuke. Its just that his is used around the clock. He also uses vibrations and sounds to fight. It says in the manga that he has trained his body to its full extent.

um, I hope I don't come off as rude but the type of eye disease that mitsuri described gyomei as having actually sounds like stargardt disease rather than macular degeneration since most md cases start when a person is in their mid thirties or older although for a moment there I thought it was retinitis pigmentosa though then I remembered that the disease works in reverse and becomes like trying to see through straws. the way that gyomei fights in the manga and anime is cool because he utilizes his other senses to fight and he uses taste because a person with taste sensitivity can actually taste the particles that float on the wind.
