Haswell is very viable today, especially with the cheap price of DDR3 making it very viable, sure it's not as good value as 1155, but its easy to find both new and used. Great Video Man! Especially loving those orchestral greenmarks.

i think its a combination of talent, artistic direction and a drive for perfection in quality. could justify why periods between uploads are so long (also not a fulltime youtuber). i wouldnt be surprised if hes the kind guy to finish an entire video, making a detailed script and all, only to scrap it after watching the final product because its not up to his standards

I could say that about one of my GPUs (while at 100% use), but that's because I like sub-zero overclocking. Its hard to sweat when your max load temp is cold enough to condense air moisture into ice on the back of the card.

I did the same thing with my gaming rig. Bought a prebuilt hp (8300 elite SFF) and slapped a GT1030 in it. It has a i5 3470, 8gb of ram, 500 GB hard drive, and a GT1030. (also a proprietary power supply that is 240 watts, ugh). it even came with a win 10 pro license. the PC itself cost 200 dollars, and the GPU was 80 dollars. (US currency). 280 bucks, decent DOOM 4 Machine with low settings at 720p and 60 fps 99% of the time. (doesn't drop below 50). Not bad for me, huh?

Not at all! In the future you could probably go up to a GTX 1050 ti or when Volta comes out maybe there will be a new low wattage GPU equivilent to a GTX 1060 that you could use! But for now the GT 1030 is a great budget low power GPU.

Jodeth oh of course! My best mate had an A8 6600K and he bought a 4790K. He originally had a GTX 750 Ti and now eventually has a GTX 1070 xD. But yeah, i upgraded my PC cos he bought Ark Survival Evolved, i played it and then wanted it. So i upgraded my system and he bought the game for me. Now i just need that GTX 770. Just out of curiosity, how did you find you old 940 Black?
@MetalJody1990
@MetalJody1990 6 жыл бұрын
That's cool, man! My old 940 got the job done well back then. Handled everything I was currently playing at the time (L4D2, Crysis 2, BioShock, Just Cause 2, Killing Floor, etc.), until newer games started recommending a beefier CPU, so I upgraded to the i5 for The Evil Within and Dying Light. Now I have an i7 4790 (just got it last week) and it's freaking fast! No game I own makes it sweat, except for BF1 (multiplayer) on Ultra settings, but that's okay because High settings still look incredible. My friend actually had (or still has) a GTX 770. It was a damn good gpu for its time. I remember being at his house years ago seeing his frame rates sky high in a few modern games. Envious I was... Haha. Jk. I had a 660 Ti that I was very happy with.

If have enough views/subscribers you get access to scheduled publish which allows you to keep a video unlisted until a planned date/time where it will appear as if it was uploaded at that time. That allows videos to be instantly live without YT having to process and viewers having to watch at 480p etc. At least that's what my best guess is.

omar aman If he's on a tighter budget and can't afford a full upgrade, he'll be fine. But I would recommend upgrading from an FX chip.

Maybe go for a used Phenom II X6, better IPC than the FX series, easily overclockable, works on all FX AM3+ motherboards.

NJ Sullyalex Yeah I forgot about the Phenom. Probably a better idea.

LGA 1150 just so happens to be my 4670K's home.. I feel like it will go down as another forgotten 1 year but also amazing platform that will continue hold up over time, only really held back by raw core count and faster newer generation memory, Paired with my GTX 970 It still slays.. Excellent video as always.

I think it deserves a mention. Your video creation style is very unique. Love the clips of the trains and stuff mixing it up a bit as tech can come across as a bit bland at times. I miss seeing new content from you, but hey, you have a life. I especially like the video where you did your presentation. It was quite funny when you were walking down the corridor all proud and shit cos you did well. Great stuff. You want some eggs with that green ham? All the best....

Awesome video! You motivated myself to try doing a budget build. I spent 340 on the whole system including windows 10 in the total price. The PC had an older generation i5 that is an ivy bridge that suppports the socket H2 type/ i5-3470. My GPU is a Radeon 6850 with 1GB of memory size that did pretty well and supported DirectX11. I picked up a bronze 520 watt PSU. I then picked up a board online that supported the ivy bridge processors/ H2 type. The downsides to the system is the 4GB of memory that has a lower frequency at 1333MHz and the HDD is an older mechanical drive but I will switch it out eventually. I am making a video on it now as something fun to do. Once again great job with your videos man!
