Football Agents are a controversial topic in football, but like them or hate them, they are a crucial part of the game 🤷‍♂️ According to FIFA, football clubs spent a whopping £701 Million on agency fees in 2023 alone 💰 That figure is 43% more than what they spent in 2022. To say the industry is growing, would be an understatement 🤯
In 2019 Jay Z’s business Roc Nation decided to enter the football agency industry. With years of experience as an agent, Alan Redmond became Roc Nation’s head of global football 🤝 Superstars such as Kevin De Bruyne, Vini Jr & many more are now Roc Nation clients 🤩
We sat down with Alan to find out the truth. What is it really like, being a football agent for some of the world’s biggest stars? How did he get to where he is and what advice does he have for other people trying to enter the industry? 🤔

Very interesting, enjoyed watching it. I’m a great believer in life you need a bit of luck! So many talented players go unnoticed for different reasons and be in the right place at the right time could change your life forever!! Good luck to Alan Redmond his worked hard to get to where he is and he has the passion for it. Has my respect 🍀

Strange that he considers 5 loans as some sort of negative thing at 24:00. Going on loan to learn your craft and play adults playing for their mortages in lower league is far more beneficial than meanigless u-19 or u-23 games. Nearly all footballers that have been on loan confirm this.

He never said that it just might knock some players confidence but it didn’t to him that’s his point

I think you want some consistency. You don’t want to move every year to a new club as a loanee and have to learn the new environment and sometimes a new language

To be fair Mbappe parents model, is th most ideal. When you have parents with yyur best interest who have business brains its better. Better than seliing you soul to this Agencies who just pimp you out

true but theres also some parents who want to take advantage of their kids rather than do whats best for their career. Im not saying its true but there's a lot of rumors that claim Mbappe's mom allegedly doesn't want him to join Madrid because he won't make as much money in Madrid compared to PSG.

@@Abu-Is-Finished 1 - Retire when HE decides he is done with the game and has won most of it all. 2 - can look after his immediate family and circle of friends (while maintaining his current lifestyle.. there's a reason players go broke after retirement) OR continue playing to win accolades for a club that will retire your jersey and move on to the next superstar.... I'm on his parent's side. Like any job, his goal is to secure his future and get out pain and injury free while entertaining us fans.

I think Mbappes family actually got in his way for eg his mom Faiza Mbappe should have been in Madrid ages ago but his mom I suspect was the one making it all about money which is why he stayed at PSG I respect her as a businesswoman but it seems like Mbappe always lets his family and the French president get in his ears
