This movie is actually very personal and bittersweet for me. The character of Abigail was based on a dear friend of mine who died of cancer just over 6 years ago. So for me it’s somewhat surreal that I see someone portraying a character based on her, and yet many of the people who watch the movie were not as blessed as I was to have the pleasure of actually knowing her and being her friend for several years until she was taken from us so young by complications from cancer at the tender age of 20.

I apologise for my harsh comments. The young girl actor was really good and I expect to see her in other films because she is a great actor. My harsh comments are not directed at the subject matter but come purely from the perspective of film making.

You know, it’s funny you should say that. The real Abigail, my friend was actually a very talented actor, and a regular in the theatre at my high school and within the theatre community of my hometown of Halifax Nova Scotia.

This is for those people who say they saw the whole movie in the trailer "shut your a hole and don't stop people from having their own emotional journey, yeah the movie may be not as good to win an Oscar but it can make them happy with the same silly previously tried idea" just watched the movie and loved it... It was good and heart warming.

Not necessarily helping others. You actually find your life PURPOSE when you do something that delights you. If helping others, brings you trouble, unhappiness, heartache and destruction to yourself then it is not your LIFE PURPOSE. If we don't the passion, it can only be a prefession not vocation. The point is, we cannot force anyone to make helping others as their vocation. But, they can always do it through their profession.
