The passage in Ezekiel you mention actually teaches that each person will be judged based on their own sins, not those of their parents or children. You clearly do not understand your own religion if you dismiss the need of atonement for sin, the very heart of the Jewish religion for over a 1000 years of which Jesus fulfills with His sacrifice, something spoken of by the prophets and previewed through the sacrificial system practiced at the Temple. As for beginning with the Jewish Scriptures, please read the book of Hebrews in the New Testament for a comprehensive explanation of how the sum of the Jewish faith written about in the Hebrew Scriptures is fulfilled in Christ. Finally, to your point of human sacrifice of any kind not permitted in the Torah. The Law forbade human sacrifice as was practiced by the pagans (I.e. children offered to the god Molech) but permitted the sacrifice of one’s life, for example, if forced to worship an idol or coerced to engage in depraved sexual practice (I.e. beastiality). One could also sacrifice one’s life to save the life of another. How much greater a sacrifice, therefore, if one offered his life to save all mankind as Jesus did? - MM

In fact, any sin sacrifice is only valid for UNINTENTIONAL sins. What did the Jewish people do between the first and second temple? By your reasoning, Jesus should have come after the first Temple was destroyed? What did the Jews do absent sin sacrifice during that time? With regard to our verses in question, yes, each person will be judged for his own sins. This is called personal responsibility. Christianity instead teaches the following: I sin. But Jesus died for my sins, so it doesn’t really matter what I do, because I believe Jesus died for my sins, I will still go to heaven. This is the opposite of a loving and merciful Creator, who from the Jewish perspective has unlimited ability to freely forgive so long as the person does teshuva. If I hurt you, are you not able to forgive me? Or do you require someone else to pay the price for the wrong I did to you? This is Christianity. Has nothing to do with Judaism.
