In case you wanted to know how I got My SOSO Jeans, below is an outline of my specifications. I'm 5'9" and 168lbs and usually buy tagged size 31 jeans (which means 33" when you measure them in person). This really helped create a comfortable wearing experience that still oozed style. In two days I'll be at the 6th month mark with my 33oz in the "Tapered Jeremy" fit. I have worn them every single day and am still amazed by how comfortable they are. Even after 6 months, every morning when I pick them up, I expect them not to be comfortable, because they are just that heavy to handle. But I am completely comfortable everyday. They have been washed twice. The fades are hard-won with these...they do not give up the indigo easily. But I am really loving the progress. I will be wearing them for 36 straight months, before repair, just to see how much damage they can really take.

You sir are a beast. I’m about 8 wears into a 14.5 oz pair and I’m just starting to feel comfy haha. I’m new to raw denim so don’t judge too hard.

@@tjs1189 you're going to do fine. I started with a pair of 14's myself. Then did a year in some Unbranded 21's. Then a year in Iron Heart 25's and then another year in a different pair of those. Now the 33's. You got this.

Ugh! I’m working on a pair of 25oz iron heart and 25oz samurai. It’s a struggle to get enough wear. Now this. Tempting! I wonder if I can hire a stunt double to wear pants for me?

They’re seriously thick. But if you get a loose cut, it’s manageable. Great idea. Just make sure to take out a life insurance policy for them. 👊👊👊😂😂😂

@@snuffspoon yes indeed cap’n, you may toss these and everything those two brands make into the dungeon tier. Shame with Momotaro, they make a lot of stuff that’s pretty cool before they put those “Look at me please immediately” stripes on them.

I actually like the battle stripes on the momotaro. I have a pair. I don’t think I’d go for the jacket with the stripes.

Would be hard pressed to break in 33oz. How much do you think they will stretch? I bought a 21oz Iron Heart tight, it took over a year to loosen up and fit well. I anticipate more as the fibers break down, as I wash them regularly, and in it for the long hall.

Just buy pants that fit.. they will stretch a little but if yr forcing them to stretch yr weakening the denim especially as dirt gets in and breaks down the fiber. I don't understand why people are still buying this myth that you are supposed size down and stretch them out. It's cotton. It will stretch maybe a ¼ and eventually tear. Be comfortable in yr jeans. They're just jeans. Anyone who is in the raw denim industry is gonna tell you the same. Even fjorde says he made that mistake in his introduction video on his page. Don't spend $450 on pants to suffer, and a year later suffer a little less. Unless you like that. But that just sounds terrible. I normally get jeans that sit above the hips and have room to comfortably fit my hands in the waist while standing or laying down. So when I sit I'm not uncomfortable. Hope this helps

Hi Fjorde or anyone, do you guys have any tips on unsanforise non-wash denim jeans? Do I go true to size or one size up?

Just check the raw measurement. After soaking the waist will shrink 1-1.5 inches but ultimately they will stretch back out to the raw size (and sometimes beyond). Obviously you need to look at other measurements for the fit you are after.

I just found a similar Henley from Bronson mfg. I was STOKED to find the vintage style. Haven’t received it yet, but I’ve heard good things on Reddit. Also, extremely affordable.
