*EDIT* the heavy HARVESTER does have its own storage its just not visable so that threw me off sorry for not including this into this video when editing. I will be covering how it can be read in a later video.

Wish the crane had a remote control...set up two of those T3 drills on the bottom of Waterside through a hole last night and had to run back and forth dozens of times to get them lined up lol. Love your videos, keep up the good work!

You could goober-rig it with Splitscreen if you have a controller hooked up.

One thing I noticed, and which I've seen at least one other person mention, is that the ice melting function of the Heavy Harvester sometimes doesn't work immediately (as in, it grinds resources but doesn't make water). If that happens, reload your save. I figure it's the same or similar bug as what makes the saw hook not work when first placed sometimes.

keep the ice melter running for a bit until the harvester takes over.. i am building a tips video and one of the things will help people see this work and something to mention as well. mainly if its not working right save and reload.

yah the ahuler is sort of key for moving the heavy things... Im sure theres a mod now that lets u pick them up like a normal drill now might be worth checking it out.

game sized DLCs are severely unerrated. very satisfying to get back into Hydroneer with a ton of new content and mechanics.

Informative video, thank you. One question, I bought the roller and smoothed out a new plot, but you make it seem like it can also be used to "drill" down -- how's that done? Or is it a combination thing with some pickaxing?

u make a trench behind the back wheels 2 x6 with the pickaxe and rake then reverse into the hole and the roller will drop down to the layer u dug to.

Another way is to use the Lava Thaw. Take it to spot, activate it via the "F" key (for keyboard), and then spin in a circle a few times; you will see the ice will melt a bit. Move forward a tad, spin, and you can go down. Bring the roller over to your hole and there you go. I also use it to craft a ramp going up and out my dig site via the "T" key. Takes a bit of practice, but gets easier with time. BTW - the Lava Thaw will only go down to T1 until you unlock the Lava Thaw Boosters; each one adds a tier and can be added and removed. In addition, I recommend renaming your back up file to a test file. The start and save your original file to get a new back up. Then load you new test file, that way if stuff goes south, you still have your original and a back up.

@@Hybridsteel Nah man...I'm almost done moving from the starter. I used the started to experiment what everything does, and how it all connects. From what I have learned there I created a design in my head, that I'm using to create a efficient and esthetically pleasing to my OCD...mining facility.

Peace hybrid. So the new big Harvester can make water Out of ICE too, but do i still Get ressources from the melted ICE? Or only from the Rocks then ? Im Nearly that far to get the Machines so i can already Set IT Up better with that information! Thanks for your Videos and streams ! Make the world great again 👍😬

basically it will take ice blocks and make its own water and then the ice rocks (resource) it will make ore from.. so when running loads of drills ur be fine for everything

get hauler pick up with hauler and then be careful thats about it.. its all about learning how to place it.. no tutorial can be done because its just one of those things.

so i have a question, can you loop the water pipe back into the ice Melter and let it drip back into the Melter to infinitely have water?

Do you have to “jumpstart” every time after you turned your network off? I understand it is necessary at the very first start. But when your stopped conveyors are full of raw materials and then you “flip the switch” back on, can the heavy harvester do the supply by itself? Or do you always need an ice melter to the side?

Is it worth moving your automated system from starting spot to new land. Seems awfully slow on cloutium, and hard stone.

yes as when u move plots you have more room to build and get things sorted.. also corestone at tier 2 which you dont get at starter plot

Does anyone else have the problem that the drills dont work on specific positions, even so there are working drills further behind the pipeline on the same level? I have this problem with small and big drills

not had this problem but sometimes it comes down to how much dirt is cloging the drill.

Whats the point of the sensless thing??? Get 10 normal drills on bedrock and all fine, why need more sensless ressource... Really that thing is so silly....the crane move to hill is pain in the butt and than work with this huge drill/harverster is the same pain...i do not check what the devs goal behind that...

the harvester produces its own water supply so its less for you to faff with so you dont need the ice melter over time. also its just different from what we have had before instead of having just a reskined item we got something a little different to mess about with you dont need to build them or use them their just in the game because you have that choice to use them or not. pretty simple really.

The point of this game was always progression, improving as you go, of course you can do everything with 20 drills not even going to T3 soil and get the same results but to me that's just not satisfying. Everyone plays how they want
