What I don't get is my other Christians are so angry and want this to fail when we are just trying to practice as our savior did. 3hy is there so much talk of this being a cult and hoping it does not succeed? The modern church has never felt right to me. Even going to a conservative church it felt wrong and I couldn't figure it out. Hi, I think we are Ephraim and we are the lost sheep. I think we are the arrows for the bow of Judah. I just started researching this not by my own, but by the leading of the Holy Spirit. A few weeks ago after fervent prayer before bed, I awoke in the middle of the night. God spoke two words in my mind. The words were "Holy Convocation". I didn't know what the meaning was to the second word until I looked it up the next morning. Everywhere in the bible those two words are, they are in conjunction with the 7th day Sabbath and God's feast days. I asked and I received. I have no idea even how to start celebrating these feasts. I ordered a book to help, written by Batya Wooten, that along with scripture will help me learn. I can't believe I'm even looking into this. I was raised to believe the laws were nailed to the cross. I even mocked the Hebrew roots movement, I said "oh no, they are falling from grace!" I can tell you with certainty, had I not been led by the Holy Spirit, I wouldn't be looking into this at all. Holy Convocation in sentence form is this..."a set apart special appointment with God." I'm amazed!

With much love and respect, if anyone here believes the law is a burden please read psalm 119 (all of it). Then, ask you self this question. Did King David believe the law was a burden or did he love the law? Then read Acts 6:12-14. Were the witnesses who accused Stephen of blaspheming against God and the law true or false witnesses? Also, when the witnesses accused Jesus of changing the customs of Moses, were they true or false witnesses? The Bible tells us plainly that they were false witnesses. Stephen was innocent of their accusations. Throughout the Old Testament God said that His commandments were forever, to be throughout all your generations and in Deuteronomy 13 warned the Israelites against prophets who would arrise and would think to change the law. The Jews who walked amongst Jesus and believed He was the Messiah knew the Old Testament and understood His teachings from that perspective. We, 2000 years later look at the Bible with Western eyes but originally for the first believers to follow Jesus as teacher and Messiah they knew He couldn't change the law (because God had warned them already). We now say in the New Testament that the law is a burden, but... God, in the Old Testament (Tanakh) told His people that the law was very near to them, it was given as a blessing, failing to follow it would bring a curse and that it was not a burden. (What I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you.) With all due respect I choose to believe the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in this matter.

Moses was given the Torah {teaching} as an eternal covenant on Mt Sinai. Read Gods words to Moses after He gave him the 10 Commandments as an everlasting covenant. The Torah will also be taught during the Millennial reign of Christ. (Is. 2;3}.What confuses many people is its relevance and its application after Christs Ascension. I think youll find your answer when you consider that it is eternal. Its not a means of salvation, its a means to expose sin, and show the believer how to live here on earth.without them we wouldnt know what pleases and displeases God.

The masoretic text adds grammar swaying some of the meanings. Adding words here and there which is a big no no. Some versions actually have missing verses. NIV has 16 verses deleted from the Bible. Yes I believe all of Paul's teachings. He was a Torah scholar. He knew the Torah inside out. You must grasp the OT in order to truly understand the NT. It is senseless to start the book 2/3 in and get a clear understanding of it's narrative.

So it must still matter if these curses are still at work for almost 400 years now. Many that do not observe Torah come with the argument that the apostle Paul taught that the Law was Burdensome or that we are now not under the law but under grace they get these ideas from passages such as Romans 6:14, Romans 7:6, Romans 7:4, etc. When reading the with the Torah in mind you might think that Paul is referring to the law being done away with and it being burdensome. Although many don't consider what Law in these passages Paul was referring to..... Could it be that Paul is referring to the Law of Sin and death that it is burdensome and done away with by Jesus or Yeshua dying on the cross? Because that is the exact Law that Paul refers to later in Romans 8:2; “because the Spirit’s law of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:2‬ ‭HCSB‬‬. Jesus states that he did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill it (Matthew 5:17). He brings the Law to its fullness throughout the New Testament, a example is Mathew 5:21-48.

This movement started in the 1800's with a group called the Seventh day Adventist. The Sabbath, the sanctuary, Isreal, all were being taught . Read The Great Controversy by EGW. God sends a prohet to prepare the way before he does anything. The book brings to light long forgotten passages and history. We believe Christ came in the flesh. And the Torah testified of Christ. We follow the dietary guidance, most are vegetarians because that was Adam and Eve's diet. We believe Israel is a spiritual kingdom made up of all who does the Father's will. God has others not of this fold :)

The problem with the Hebrew roots movement is that it is returning to Judaism, which is based on 1st century Phariseeism. But John the Baptist, the apostles, the early Christians, and Yeshua himself were not associated with either the Sadducees or Pharisees, but rather with the Essenes. The Essenes of course are from the religious sect that wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls. What this means is that scripture must not be read in the culture and context of Judaism, but rather through the lens of the Essenes.

Eating or not eating pork, keeping the feast days, Saturday Sabbath keeping, etc., are all works based and saying that the shed blood of Christ is not enough. Yes, the OT and NT, from Genesis to Revelation point to Christ, but His never ending Grace and Mercy is all sufficient for all times or else is null and void and of no effect! I prayed for God to lead me to His Truth. I prayed Psalm 25:4-5. 26yrs of being a Christian, until I came to the truth that Repentance means turning around from going the wrong way according to my own understanding, and go the way of Torah. His Holidays. It's amazing that I never even heard of the Hebrew Roots Movement until after God led me to His Torah- the Word that became flesh.

Legalism is a man-made designation having no scriptural support. Yahshua condemned man-made commandments, never His Father's. To obey a law of Yahweh is not legalism, it is an act of devotion and love because the true Spirit, the Ruach elohim, inspires obedience [Hebrews 10:16].
