Mostly normal candles, expermented with Heikin ashi and Range, but only with noramal candles backtesting results are more or less corect. I`m very intrested how to test and trade range candes, is ther any way to do that?

The purpose of using Heikin Ashi candles is to gain a clearer understanding of the overall market movement. What you're presenting to us is standard candlesticks overlaid, which doesn't provide much assistance. Heikin Ashi charts are particularly effective for identifying trend changes, as they replace random fluctuations seen in normal candlestick charts with doji-style candles. Typically, I wait for a doji candle followed by confirmation without a wick on the wrong end before making any decisions.

I use the "normal" Japanese candle sticks. Heiken Ashi strategies didn't work too well for me.

David is there anyway you can code so that the stop loss is at say a specific recent high/low? The issue with percentage point stop losses apart from the fact that they are nearly completely arbitrary, is that as an asset increases or decreases in value, over time the stop loss percentages will be completely different in terms of the size of the stop loss due to it being an overall percentage of the asset itself. This is something many people noticed when Bitcoin went up in 2019 and also when it crashed after the FTX crash. Stop loss percentages were changed noticeably which means deep backtesting on them as well as forward testing/trading with a trade bot is going to be unsustainable over time

Any time I see “multi-timeframe” I know it’s going to produce good backtest results and terrible trade performance. Multi-timeframes DO repaint!

Yeah this aint it....there is a awesome strategy behind these candles but all the youtube videos explain the same lame boring concept of these candles with no clear strategy 🙄
