The victim was also heavily drugged with multiple drugs the whole time, so she basically had no knowledge or control of her body. She wasn’t all there. The story is screwed up tbh

Whether visited by her ghost, or a guilty conscience..that 13 year old girl did the right thing. This case is tragic in so many ways. I truly hope that Fan Man-Yee is now resting in peace.

Well it wasn’t exactly over a wallet it was over a large amount of money that was over due. Therefore it’s not JUST bc of a wallet, it’s because he wanted his over due money, and he wanted it on time.

Leung Shing Cho appealed his case and his sentence is reduced to 18 years and was released in 2011. He is arrested again for sexual assaulting a 10 years old girl earlier this year..

I found out about this case when i was like 11 or 12 years old watching videos on "the true hello kitty story", people were using the crime scene photos to deem hello kitty as "devilish", not acknowledging that those were pictures of a woman that went through hell and back and just using her pictures to make up a horror story. Thats utterly heartbreaking

And the thing is like someone said, she was a prostitute and like the person said is that most of them don’t have so much of a connection to others or is the people that broke the contacts with her because she were a prostitute. Because she sells her body to earn money and on top of that she was drug addicted which can make people want nothing to do with them

When she said that she was found dead in the bathroom I was so relieved. At this point that's one of the only things you can really wish to someone in that situation. Like even if she got out or would've been rescued she would have a severe trauma and like, holy hell. At least she can rest now.

i thought the same. after all she went through, she went on her own. not while they were beating or torturing her, but during one of the only times she was offered solitude and rest, she chose to go. it makes me wonder if she took that opportunity to kill herself tbh. either way, she died with dignity

Honestly, I'd actually forgotten she had a son until you mentioned it at the end and I nearly started crying. That poor boy, even though he doesn't remember his mum, he's always gonna know and hear about what happened to her. And that will be one of the only things he ever knows about her, that she was tortured and murdered by sadistic maniacs who could literally be out this year.

Yes! As someone who lives in surrey, British Columbia, this case hit home and was very scary. Someone in my immediate family actually worked the case as a prosecutor.

there’s a new update on the man who was arrested, i live in hk and i saw a news article that said he was released and put back in prison for inappropriately touching his friend’s daughter claiming to give her a massage. it’s sick how after all this time, his actions doesn’t change.

And I doubt she wasn't being haunted either. Sometimes spirits can actually solve their own murder case from beyond the grave and this was one of those cases. That poor woman's spirit must've been so angry and upset after everything that happened to her and she wanted to bring her perpetrators to justice and rightfully so. Plus, maybe once that young girl saw that lady's spirit it made her feel even more guilty and scared which resulted in her telling the police what was going on. I really hope that innocent lady is finally resting in peace now knowing that her killers were found and charged. She didn't deserve such harsh torture at all, and I feel so bad for her son. 👼🕊

this case just makes my stomach turn. a 13 year old, yes 13 was involved in a MURDER- she was 13 dating a 37 year old and dealing with rape, drugs, and murder. I'm 13 and that's just truly disgusting to me. It reminds me of the Junko Furuta case in japan and its just so sinister and sad

What was this stupid ass law in Japan?Someone could torture someone as much as they want but wouldn’t kill them but the victim dies anyway,it wouldn’t be considered a murder cause they didn’t intended to kill them. 🙄 Same thing happened in Junko furuta’s case, so people would torture people for days,give them a worse death than just killing them and it wouldn’t even considered as a murder in court. This makes me so furious.Law failed both these victims in my opinion.

Kpop and Anime you are right about 1974 being when hello Kitty came out. If you re-read my comment i said its creepy that a murder (1999) is named after a children’s show (1974) not the other way around

This reminds me of Junko's case. Honestly them cases from Asia are some of the worst cases on the planet. Update: Leung Wai-lun, was released in 2011 and in August 2022, more than a decade after his release, Leung was sentenced to 12 months in jail. This time, it was for indecent contact with the 10-year-old daughter of a friend.....

He’s a psychopath or a sociopath, to normal people, there are no reasons. But to THOSE people, they actually do. Which is why you never mess with psychos/socios like Man Yi did. Those people’s brains are built differently. Edit: not built different, but their brains aren’t built enough. Their brains are just lacking. Lack of empathy. Meaning they are closed minded and only care for themselves. Which is a narcissistic trait... and psychos/socios adopt this trait.

Julie Loizou That’s exactly what I was thinking, despite the inhuman stuff she did I can’t help but feel bad for he especially since she was probably pressured and/or manipulated into it and only witnessed most of it. She clearly showed signs of remorse. You can tell it’s already messed her up considering the “spirit” visiting her is most likely all in her head. I don’t think therapy can fix something that traumatic. This whole story is just heartbreaking :(

@@cheryl9228 yes. And in the olden times, people killed each other, peasants families lived in one room, no one bathed often and people were hung and burnt for crimes. So it doesn't matter what happened in the past, the morals of society change with the times, and nowadays we realise how fucked up that was. Bringing up that people did all that hundreds of years ago means nothing

: let’s just pray that they never come out. those men deserve to be locked behind bars for the rest of their lives for what they have done. taking away a life of another in comparison to life imprisonment is not enough. let’s pray for that girl’s safety and for them to never discover her whereabouts.
