There's an official Hello Neighbour book series, which clears up a ton of the lore, and is really good in general. I'd certainly recommend reading it if you have time.

Theory: The doll was his daughters toy, last thing she plays with before she goes missing, so instead of leaving all the memories, he buries them to keep it safe. When the kids find what he’s doing and he says “You have no idea what you got yourself into” (Not exact). Meaning he knows they would get the doll, so the doll could be haunted or something else. ***ONLY A THEORY NOT TRUE***

BTW... Dan, if you want to know more about the "lore" behind *Hello Neighbor;* there's the books you could look at. This cartoon DOES do some references to the things that happened in the books -- as well as the original game (that we all know and love) that inspired them as well! Speaking of which... I think they're ALSO doing a similar thing with FNAF as well from what I heard.

I don’t know if you’re still reading the comments on this video, but The Guest isn’t the neighbor ... he sabotaged Theodore’s (the Neighbor) car, ultimately killing his wife, and terminated(?) his son. (You play as the neighbor’s son in Hello Guest .. he escaped the basement that he was locked in.) I hope this was helpful in further decoding the story! :)

His name is Theodore Masters Peterson. Hes an engineer with a sketchy past. Read the books, the kids names are Enzo, Maritza (siblings), Trinity, and the character from the game Nicky Roth. The neighbors kids are Aaron and Mya. The girl Lucy Yi was killed at the Golden Apple Amusment park, the townspeople burned the park down after. Theres more, the books are fun, I'm reading it to my kids.

What if the neighbor turns kids into dolls? In the updated version of Secret Neighbor the neighbor can turn the kids into dolls, making them “simming”. And here in the cartoon pilot, he was burying a doll, which maybe he used the talisman to turn one of his kids into a doll. Maybe he has magic powers or is performing a ritual, due to all the candles and basement secrets.

Basicly the neighbors wife died and the neighbor made a deal with the devil to bring her back and he regrets what he did and locks the devil up in the basement

He was burying his daughter’s doll. The daughter has been represented by the doll for a while. We saw her fall from the roof and the neighbour burying something immediately after. Most likely being Maya. Therefore him burying his doll is an innuendo for him burying his daughter

Here’s a quick theory I thought of during the video: We play as the neighbour and see through his vision which is why we see the one trying to chase him as a creature because the neighbour might see things and as a kid sneaking in, They wouldn’t want to be seen in the light. That could also be why the game is called “Hello *guest* ” and not ‘neighbour’ because *we are* the neighbour! Knowing me, I’m probably wrong but it’s just a quick thought :)

The doll is Theodore Peterson`s daughter (Mya) It was her toy and it is her mom. Ahe died in a car accident that they show in one of the trailer. The crow guy is a "Forest Protector" and in the helo guest and hello neighbor 2 game you play as a reporter whos curiosity gets the better of him.
