You can actually go to the market from Citadel, if you go across the river you can see a small black town, I went there and it was very similar to the market aswell as the river next to it (this was in the old citadel map)

Some day I wanna see an open-world version of this game with all the maps you play on connected but obviously since they're in all different regions they would be very far away it would be nice to also multiplayer one-day comeback and a lot more spells added possibly animal and creatures to slay

My personal little theory is that you were a king / war general, or someone important, when the followers of the crystal revolted, using their magic to rise up and overthrow the king, they storm your castle (the citadel? Maybe the broken castle in dungeons) and manage to defeat the army and guards, you (the king/general) manage to escape with you life and board a boat and set to sea, but the followers of the crystal chase you on boats of their own, eventually they catch up to you, and manage to sink your ship, you black out, and wash up on shore in a nearby cove, where you find a hut, or a base for the followers of the crystal as they research the magic of this world (maybe the door is a gate that once held magic back, and as the followers opened it, some seeped out, giving us the magic we know?) anyways, you manage to overthrow the guards and claim the hut as your own, from then on you keep it as your base of operations, researching the magic, and going on quest to train, to prepare for when you take back your kingdom.

To add on to the theroy of eternal life/ bringing back the dead, there is the soul spell in the road map, which may have to do with necromancy seeing that your theory kinda points to that being the use, but idk, could be true, may not, but that's just a theroy.

I like the theory that they may be trying to bring back the dead. The devs are making a soul spell if i'm not mistaken so maybe you are right.

Jack I have a theory to add on to your idea of lore. I noticed there is a sunken ship next to the ship you have so maybe you weren’t there on purpose but your ship sunk there and you took a boat down shore.

We now have actual lore to work with cause of crystal hunt! The Blue Flags are the Eraden Kingdom The door is related to an ancient civilization known as the Dalgarians. We also have a 'Followers of the Crystal' like you speculated known as The Eye, thought it is a bit different.

Dont know if anyone has said this yet but I think 4:23 the stuff you said I like to say could possibly be false. See in the tutorial that character is washed up in a ship wreck evident by the broken ship nearby and the raged messed up cloths with the lack of weapons. Later on it says the character unlocks the ability to "slow down time" by the great ancient door or some type in the mountain. I have speculations that the 2 people you kill and take the base of in the tutorial was sent out there by the blue faction, who seem to be most advanced and religious. To seem to learn and discover more of the of the huge door and ancient stuff. As in the mountian the huge rocks with holes in them are saw in the house wihch may or may not be built by those people idk have tried to replacate the rock monuments with the 3 holes around i.e the 3 powers in game maybe trying to unlock there true potential idk just heads up here.

man daisy going off on this lore edit: maybe the player dosent like the blue flag because they are tyrant rulers? maybe they left their home where the game takes place and traveled, but upon return they see how the blue flag affected everything and might not like it you know? the legend thing could also be a factor in this. edit 2: maybe the blue flag could have ruined the peace or killed the players wife? or both, which would explain the symbols, like the one of peace and sailing in the dungeon, a once humble place for sailors and other people alike, token over for the blue flag to have locations as a base edit 3: the filler text stuff? i heard it has to do with jason somewhere, if you know, you know, the tiger thing is also a hint at that, i heard someone said he was in as a boat edit 4: crystal hunt could be the player trying to gather magical crystals to take over the crystal group/bfg to restore it to the peace variation of the group/cult edit 5: oops didnt know that was already mentioned

I have a theory. A confederation of Celtic peoples maybe known as the “Cultists” or maybe the “Picts” once inhabited this strange land, but their population crashed when people like the gladiators, bandits, and knights, became the majority of the population. These buildings and structures with Celtic symbols, along with runes indicate maybe another group of peoples maybe Vikings, of a sort, took over and killed off the Picts or Cultists. They began to establish their own culture and structures such as the gravestone(yes it is a grave or tomb stone) inscribed with the runes, maybe an R.I.P message or wish to that person who died peace and prosperity elsewhere, maybe in a realm called Valhalla. Maybe, this is just a theory. Edit: Some weapons, like the riding sword, are inscribed with a Celtic symbol, maybe this person we are playing as found these weapons in a Celtic, “Cultist”, or Pictish structure. Or maybe killed someone for them. Edit 2: Most of the vanilla weapons are inscribed with Celtic symbols, and maybe these weapons were forged by Celtics, and then etched and inscribed these symbols in their weapons for spiritual protection? Edit 3: Texts like the Latin book, were maybe imported from the Marketplace. Maybe the land of Blade and Sorcery has a very diverse and unique, mostly human population.

Maybe you collect the crystals and put them in the spinning stone thing in your house and some sort of energy lights up in the middle,and then it lights up the ones in the cave and opens the door

I believe the being that you play as is a spiritual god in which comes from the "Anomaly" in the sky. This being has been summoned to control the body you use in game, because of the starting screen/menu. I also believe that the player is an assassin running the dungeons looking for the leader of the so called "Blue Flag Group".

I am not sure if this was covered as I’m only 4 1/2 minutes in currently, but I wanted to add my own little speculation as well from the tutorial. You start at the coast outside of the Cave with all the glowing mushrooms and not too far away there’s a sunken ship and the ship wreck. I think it’s safe to say player character crashed there or at least something occurred. There’s also two bandits outside your home guarding it. Nothing major but, It’s something you can miss. Perhaps we pissed off the blue flag group in the past and they decided to try and sink us on our way to wherever we have ended up

This shit with the meteor is because of the explosions knockback effect

Hate to break it to you, the door when you do the large fireball, thats normal to be pushed back.

NOTE: Watch the whole video before reading this, everything will make more sense. I have my own theories(please read through it all the way I put a lot of effort into these and they are actually interesting): 1. Who you are in the game: When going through the dungeon, one thing I noticed was that one NPC said, "Traitor!", before attacking me. This can imply that we are someone who used to be in the blue flag group, but betrayed them for some reason. 2. Hidden Vault: You can hear breathing inside of the vault, which most likely is not anything near a human. It may be a dragon, but that is just a guess. It seems to be a temple of some sorts, but it isn't like any other temple. I think that there must be some sort of puzzle where if solved, it will unlock the vault, releasing whatever is inside. It is very likely that it has to do with what is inside the home, and there, as we can not just brute force through the vault by using any spell. Due to this, I will focus on the similar structure. Notably, the eye seems to be looking down a path lined with this structure. Each structure has a symbol on it, I will get into that later. 3. The Gravity Spell: The gravity spell is the one spell that we have, that no NPC has. Arguably, it is also the best spell. With the gravity spell, we can use telekinesis, rip off body parts, and force-choke someone from a distance, and much more. 4. Mega-Spells: Again, we are the only creatures that can combine 2 spells into a mega spell, which allows us to kill multiple enemies effortlessly. 5. The Runes: The runes can also be seen on the structure that is near the vault. Each spell also has a symbol on it. If we can figure out what to do with all of these pieces of information, we can solve the puzzle, and release the creature in the vault. 6. The Crystal Hunt: Perhaps by collecting the crystals, you will gain new magical powers until you can match the symbols on the structures. A possible solution to the puzzle is putting the spell inside the hole that corresponds to the symbol. The vault seems ancient, and indestructible, and how the creature inside managed to stay alive is a mystery. 7. The Creature in the Vault: The creature in the vault may be the only one who can live forever, which may be the secret the BFG is looking for. Thank you for taking the time to read through my theories. In the meantime, there may be a solution to the puzzle so I would recommend trying everything that comes to mind. Please reply to this comment with your own speculations, and the results of your experiments.

I just wanted to clear up, the fire ball you can launch has blast damage and launches you no matter what, I saw on another video somebody theorized that the upcoming crystal game mode in which you can assumingely gain crystals, is to add to the stones with hole in them, like the ones in players building/house.

Good news, Baron's left some teasers of the 11.3 racial options on Reddit, as well as tidbits of lore. - The central country we're fighting in is the Kingdom of Eraden led by Queen Astreia. - A country of black people known as Madene that have warrior-adventurers. - More Arabic-looking people come from a land called Khar-tib, and makes use of something called Dust Mages. - A isolationist and magical Asiatic nation called the Kingdom of Raike led by a king suffering from magical corruption. - The in-game gladiators are known The Raoga - a tribal confederation that inhabit the border regions of Eraden.

I think the pirate ship can also be tied in with all of this.😊

I think that behind the sealed door is a powerfull demon. There are also rocks with large holes carved into them where the krystals could be placed to release it. Maybe the leader and his/her followers want to open the door to let it out, so it could grant them immortality and help them ressurect the dead. I think that the first person who could use magic sealed the demon behind the door so it couldn‘t cause any harm.

I see that the blue flags in the market and dungeons have different symbols to the ones in the canyon. This could mean another group took over the canyons.

Also the blue flag group/the followers of the crystals' flag looks like the anomaly that started magic.

what if B&S nomad is set in a paralell dimension from normal B&S when some physics and some history is different i think this because i play nomad and obviously its slightly different from normal B&S but i mean it could make scense

i think the yellow banners are followers of the rune for example we in the base of operations the is a rune like object in the side room and we are against the followers of the crystal and we were used to teach the followers of the crystal magic but only some could learn so easily and after one of the crystal members had mastered the art they abandoned us on a boat thinking we would die on the ocean but we landed on an island and started our own base of operation but we still live a nomadic life style.

I think that the player might be some sort of God. Think about it, they're far more durable than everyone. They're far more intelligent. They're far faster and stronger. They're far more powerful. If not a God, i'd say they're something like Thor or Superman. A very powerful alien with a human-like structure. Maybe they're here because the Cult is corrupting the balance of life and death. Case in point, experienced assassins or mercenaries are tough, but they're still mortal. The NPCs make it clear that the enemies have the durability of normal humans. The player isn't normal. Maybe not even truly human.
