Quita indeed needs to be an analyst on of not all the stations that cover the WNBA due to her knowledge and indepth coverage of the games and leaque. It's amazing because she's not a formal player or coach but still covers things like this that the mainstream commentators have yet to fully bring up. We appreciate you Quita. This will be the first WNBA All-Star game, I’ll be watching, since 1997 season. Since the league have been drafting better players, I know it won’t be like the one in 1997, it was like watching a peewee league. This All-Star will be more profitable than the last NBA All-Star. The WNBA and the Phoenix Mercury is really taking advantage of the exponential popularity of women’s basketball today. They want to showcase the history and culture of the WNBA. However, I notice that the WNBA does not give due credit to its current success and seems to be intentionally downplaying the cause of this sudden popularity. It is as if the WNBA would like to credit to itself this achievement. I notice that Caitlin Clark, the sole reason for this explosion of interest in the WNBA, is not even recognized and highlighted in its preparations. It makes me wish that Caitlin Clark would just show herself only in the big game between the Olympic Team and the All-Stars and not be present in all other activities for this weekend.

This is EXACTLY what they should be doing, take advantage of the Caitlin Clark effect. The All Star game will draw millions of new eyes n give them an opportunity to see there's other talented players not on America's favorite team (Indiana Fever), if the other players stop being stupid they'd realize eyes are the for Clark but they'll also see them too. At Iowa you learned bout Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall, Monika Czinano, Hannah Stuelke, Sydney Affoltor, n Molly Davis by coming to see Clark. If the WNBA players stopped being stupid n let Clark do her thing then fans would get to see them too, they'll come n watch for Clark but notice them too n maybe gain a new set of fans for a player or team. We all knew who Aliyah Boston was but we've learned who Kelsey Mitchell, Katie Lou Samuelson, Lexi Hull, Temi Fagbenle, n others are by watching them play with Clark just as we'll learn names of other players that my not be a household name.

@LK_408
@LK_408 Ай бұрын
How are WNBA players not letting Clark do her thing and what should they be doing? Aren't they doing their thing by face guarding her every game? Isn't that showing how much you respect her game by putting your best defender on her? And wouldn't that make her a better player, by constantly having to go around the team's best efforts on defense? I'm pretty excited for her at this All Star game, I think during regular season games, she doesn't have much of a chance to interact with the other players in the W on a personal level but will get a chance to this weekend.
