it was always obvious to me this would be dead content a buff would make it step on the toes of scythe, but leaving it as it is would leave it too niche I feel like their original suggestion of a 4 tick hally with bleed was way more interesting, too sad.

Stepping on the toes of scythe is fine if it's a weapon that requires mindful use and tempo to get the max dps out of. You'd still use scythe if you wanted an easier weapon.

Personally I think leviathan is the most fun instanced boss in the game, I went for the pet and didn’t get bored once during the grind, that said the rest of the bosses are pretty boring

Axe is an interesting concept but failed execution. I think it could have been interesting if they went more all-in with it. Make the charges go up further but make you risk more health, make it better than scythe but only if you're at low hp and doing calculus in your head, etc. It's way too complicated to be B or C tier.

Even just more accuracy or be like fang where its damage roll is more consistent. If the only alternatives were blade/rapier or scythe it would be a pretty good weapon, but fang just makes it pretty useless imo because fang is just a million times easier to use and more consistent

A DH set thats in a weapon form and has the unique effect of a locator orb but won't drop your health below 30 and will drain prayer untill it reaches 10 charges

got to 1796 KC vardy and finally got my third drop at any of the DT2 bosses, it was virtus bottom. We are now sitting at 2 ingots and 1 virtus piece

Wow that’s horrible. I’ve got 500 of Vard, 500 Lev, and 200 Duke and 200 Whisperer and like 2 robe tops 2 bottoms one hood. Also 26 orbs and axe head from Vard.

The timer penalty is a wise thing, imagine you make a weapon overpowered everything else will crash. However you have put so much time ans effort in this video of quality that deserves a lot more than a thumbs up. Great job!!!

How did you get the boss kills per hour? Is that a runelite plugin or did you just do the calculation yourself? Thanks for the video. I’ve been doing Vardorvis as a money maker and wasn’t sure if I should buy the axe because all the other content creators would switch back to fang after a few kc at Vardorvis saying it was too difficult.

Learn to not stand on wall just in case you want to send hard mode. The axes spawning on top of you also deal a lot of damage.

i already explained in the video, its not worth for me, barely any dps increase with so little hp left, and i dont lose invent anyways cus u wear fang/def and u just drop a food on the ground before the fight, fangs half the bf charges and no blood rune cost.@@Papaconstantopoulos

So i saw that someone made python script to test different methods speccing and and found the best kill times were from dumping vw specs at the Start of each kill to quickly reduce his def. Also, going from 5 to 3 stacks is still worth the hp loss if you're trying to focus dps. I join a party with spec % enabled to see where my specs at sense its difficult while you're camping the axe. I vw spec 2x, thrall, kill halfway, use death charge, finish kill repeat for another kill but use the 5 stacks at the end of second kill, and second dc will get you to almost 100 spec again to use on start of third kill. Repeat

You're talking about kirby probably. You can do that if you want but you'll have to use more food which isn't something I'd recommend for standard trips. It's a small dps margin you're talking about anyways. Up to you.

Interesting, and was that with Ultor or Bellator, Torture or Fury? I've been testing Torture switching to get the kill started faster, just like you said removing the first bit of HP faster to get that defence lower significantly speeds up the kill, but I'm also AGS specing at the end for longevity instead of VW. It's crazy how much complexity is added to gear with that defence mechanic

@@Papaconstantopoulos its honestly very small difference. The defence going down is isnt big enough to matter for planning how to maintain good trips, unless you have a supply alt. Theoretical Dps cals dont really take into account that you are trying to find the balance between staying longer and still maintaining good kill speed. Focus on too much dps, you just end up losing the time banking more often anyways because you used up your food quicker using something like voidwaker. If you are going for a pb then its a different story.

@@RiceCup so i only really lose hp hp every 2 kills doing it this way cus of the 2 stacks i lose waiting for boss to spawn after first kill. On the end of second kill i use stacks to regen hp, then double vw at start of the third kill. I bring 3 or 4 brews in my normal setup which definitely extends the trip a lot longer. I think the added dps of starting with 3 stacks half of the time for 16 hp loss per 2 kills is worth it, plus it works out perfectly with the specs. I guess ancient gs specs could be used in there aswell, but id still prefer more kills/hr i feel doing it this way but idk maybe putting both vw and gs in inv could be good. It is a bit of a run.. hmm

It’s one of those weapons that I try sooo hard to use in more situations but the constant monitoring of it seems just a little too much. Hitting 70-80’s seem fun though ): One place that I feel that it’s BIS in that I think you missed is Normal Nightmare. I got a 15:30 without using any spec weapons first try. Other than that, it was hard to find a place that it was comfortable using ):
