In this episode, dad & I fit the shower door, and finish installing the Simploo.
We add in two more drainage points and encounter a water explosion while doing so. Finally, the accumulator goes in and I have a fully working water / shower / sink / drain system :)

Another suggestion perhaps... Dodo matting behind the water pump to help with the vibration. You can buy it in small self adhesive squares, I'd put a couple of layers on the panel then refit the pump. Great work Becca ❤

Great job & another great video.. Probably would of left the inside bottom edge free of silicon as any water that gets into the screen profile will need somewhere to drain back into the tray..❤

You definitely need the shorter shower hose, if it stays like that it will keep slapping against the wall and eventually damage the super blue wall board. You might have made a rod for your own back by permanently fixing the skylight cover. You will find that leaves and other debris will blow in through the skylight when it is open and you won't be able to clean it properly. Anyway, I'm sure that you're looking forward to sitting on the throne and surveying your shower palace.

The shower looks amazing it's all complete now. The shower head with those little beads actually looks really cute against the purple walls. At least you can spot the little leaks and get them all sorted now before you hit the road. I imagine the gas people will also do checks to make sure there ain't any leaks. So when are you going to put out an advert for your dad's motorhome build services. You should try going out for a drive and have your cat with you to see how she settles. It might be a good idea to get a pet cam for the back while you are driving to keep an eye on her.

Hi one mistake that might come back and bite you is no U bend to the sink, the U bend acts as a barrier to the foul smells that otherwise rise from the dirty water storage tank or drainage pipework.

I was going to let her know the same thing. Plus as much as your sink might love and enjoy it’s waste hose ribbed 🤭, It’s not practical because food bits and bobs get stuck in the ridges making the smells coming up the plug hole even worse than usual. Best to change to a pipe with a smooth inner lining and yes definitely need either a S/swan neck or a bottle trap. Pretty sure there is a mini bottle trap for motor homes etc but wether the connections will fit what you have, I’m not sure and you can expect them to be double the price for half the size too. Loved watching your home come together. Just when it looks like your smile can’t get any bigger the next episode comes along. Not long now though

Thank you, it's lovely to hear you're enjoying the build. We do have a solution for the U-bend, you'll see it in a few videos. As for the food waste, none will be going down the sink. I have a grate to stop this. My dad's had issues with food in their waste tank previously in their motorhome, which is why I opted for zero down there from the start. I'm lucky, his experience living in one has really helped design mine better to iron out issues like that :)

Any ideas about where you will go for your first adventure after a few local shakedown trips? I would suggest Scotland as they are so welcoming to campers (unlike parts of the Lake District, Wales and the West Country).

Don’t leave shower head in place when driving it will fall out and may damage it and toilet seat , been there done that . Great content as always .

Can I suggest some rubber washers on your pump and possibly accumulator too to try dampen down the noise the pump makes. Great progress in today’s update! Soon be all done, then what will we watch?!

Don't forget you need a good fitting plug for your sink bowl and your shower so that when you are driving you don't get the smell from your tank blowing back in to your van, 😊

The sink waste pipe smooth on the inside? If not you will get an accumulation of muck on the ridges, which will block the pipe and smell.

Don't forget to drill some small holes in the frame at the bottom so the water will drain out as it runs down the curtain into the channel

Any reason you haven't put a U bend on the sink? There are a lot of good reasons why you should want one, struggling to think why you wouldn't. Did you just overlook it?
