Us possesing the signed copy of the book at the end of the game after the Terapagos cutscene all, but proves that Time Travel in pokemon has alternate timelines hard baked into the lore and not just an opposite version gimmick from Gen 5. So the Paradox pokemon are very likely to not even be from our direct past or future, but alternate ones.

Well time travel will always create alternate timelines if you travel to the past and future and alter that timeline in a drastic way. I still think in the case of the paradox pokémon it is direct past and future because we're given no reason to think otherwise. Alternate timeline was only hinted at when we saw the professors at the hidden pool but even then they only entertained the possibility. They didn't confirm it because they didn't know. But during the game they said the paradox pokémon they caught are past/future relatives of their modern day counterparts so we know that is the case.

@@derekosgood3230 Not all Stories use the same type of Time Travel logic and the only other time we saw simultaneous Alternate Timelines was actually in Unova with Opelucid City, Entralink and the White Forest & Black City. Here our possession of the Signed Book confirms that the past we affected is separate, but similar to our own kinda like Dragon Ball's Time Travel.

@@themasterblaze7563Right, but in dragon ball events were changed. Not the people necessarily. Yeah, events would change if someone is supposed to die and they live because you went to the past and warned them. But trunks is still vegeta's son in either time. Gohan is still Goku's son in either time. In this case Cyclizar is still the decendant of Koriadon because they studied the species and confirmed it.

The biggest breaking of expectations is that after the likes of Necrozma and Eternatus we expected Terapagos to be this gargantuan majestic titan, and foreshadowing within the game mostly the Scarlet-Violet book was definitely pointing in that direction. Instead we get an innocent baby turtle that was acting out of instinct and doesn't know how to control its power. Like, even when Terapagos is in its ultimate form it is still a lot smaller than something like Groudon. The entire crater at Paldea was essentially the act of a child desperately seeking self-preservation in the face of a catastrophe.

imagine if terapagos is LITERALLY a child as in it's power is not fully awakened yet and the version heath saw was ANOTHER terapagos(since it can ve either male/female I assume there are more than one) and that terapagos was fully grown and had it's complete power however it did not view heath as a threat so it allowed him to live

@@exaunitive4948 The game says the Terapagos we find is the last of its species and it also ties into the eral world species it is referencing. Terapagos has a 50/50 gender ratio but the one you find is ALWAYS going to be male because it is the last one of its species the rest went extinct.

One of the themes of this game is things not being what they seem. This is the case for basically every character we encounter. So I guess now in hindsight I’m not surprised that Terapagos is so baby. But I also expected something of titanic proportions.

8:15 -- Technically 'many worlds enterpretative theory' ~~ This is a good theory; but you can apply ideals of string theory; with alongated quantumly entangled points of origin to search for; from the root print of math matrices' from the concurred math from: ~~ 1. matter / outspectrum or dark inobservable matter. 2. The initial math for dilation of space within a controlled area. 3. The [openly observed.] dilation of time from space within a openly peered observation. {Because time is not compreable to space to some people to a degree in their emersion / perception of space + time + space time expanse.} Example of a proverb of "people feeling time flying by faster," than others in their relative dilation of perception. ~~ I think becuase of a lot of the ideas seen from the A.I parents on time travel have been OPENLY dismayed; i think its because: 1. of the idea with humans manipulating points of origin from trying to regress / progress from their concurred present day without proper off notage understandable approachment / consistent accepted open observation / proper P.H.E.O.C methodologies. [Why even during ANY mainline game; the majority of team operatives openly try to manipulate points of key important legendaries: {that are OPENLY REPRESENTABLE KEY ASPECTS OF SCIENCE WITH CONCURRED ABSTRACT REPRESENTABLE CONCEPTS OF HUMAN NATURE + WEATHER + SCIENTIFIC / PARADOXICAL CONSTRUCTS.} (Similar to gen 4 team galaxy manipulating the pokemon of space and time in order to reshape their own image of humans / pokemons / their perception + emersion.) ~~ I think THAT was why the A.I past / future robots tried to stop concepts in their canon with time travel. [Because it would be INCREDIBLY difficult to try and have an exact scientific matrical postulates; with that of notage.] {Especially if we arent talking about intra + inter dimensional abstract abstractuated math matrices' applied for reference points?!!} {Why a lot of people theorized on paradoxs móns openly being too abstract from natural understanding of pokémon / concurred design from 'alleged' past + future pokémon.}

This was a really good video! I feel like so many are so quick to dismiss the dream theory, but I also think people misunderstand what the dream theory is all about. It’s clear that it’s not really that much about sleeping dreams as much as it actually about the dreams that drive us forward to achieve our goals, to “find our treasure.” After all, the Treasure Hunt was what began all of this, and the Professor went to the same Academy as we did. I think the dialogue with the Professor is also very telling. While they mention timelines and space-time warping, they speculate that the cause for the meeting could be them and you. To me at least, that seems to tell me that desire plays a huge role in all of this. The professors were so doggedly determined to see their dreams through to fruition that they were made a reality by the power of the crystals. The crystals essentially function as a Philosopher’s Stone. They transform a Pokémon to the type they want to be, they manifest desires into reality, they act as a catalyst for time-bending… what DON’T they do? Reducing it all to a time-based power is heinously obtuse and ignorant to the rest of what we see Terastal crystals do in this game. Great video.

Terapagos and the peach puppeteer are kinda foils to each other. Terapagos was able to create life from our imaginations/dreams, while the peach puppeteer seemingly granted the wishes of the “Loyal” 3 (giving them brawns, brains, and beauty), but at the price of corrupting their beings. Both granted wishes no matter how harmful those wishes would be, the paradoxes being threats to the ecosystem, and the Lousy 3’s granted wishes, at best, leading to their corruption, and at worst, the theft of Ogerpon’s masks.

When you see Sada/Turo at the crystal pool and give him the white book that is a bootstrap paradox. However this also could showing an application of the Novikov self-consistency principle. Our actions of giving them the white book WAS a part of history all along and therefore not a paradox.

Arven said that the paradox pokemons were present in Area Zero before the time machine by the professor, at the end of the game in the school's hall. Just like the violet book showed. Besides, we have no clues to see wheter Sada or Turo did have interaction with Terapagos. Heath did anyway. So the paradox Pokemons would have been his imagination? No way, because he doesn't recognize the paradox pokemons he mentions in the book. Moreover, it remains the mystery if the symbols in the cave and on the way to the lab...

I really hoped by getting the Book, we could restart the space-time machine but into the opposite direction (Scarlet now getting Future Pokemon while Violet gets Primal Pokemon) but now it feels like we got another unfinished game. I mean, what's with all the symbols in Area Zero? Why is Terapagos, with it's mastery of the All-Type and it's Space-Time-bending powers now more powerful than Arceus? Why are Terapagos and the 4 new Paradox Pokemon part of the Blueberry Dex despite us catching them in Paldea? Why is Arwen unfaced but the fact that we have the signed book? How exactly did the Scarlet/Violet Book even exist in our timeline when our Professor also met the kid with the White BOok at the lake?

I think in this case it is less that S/V are unfinished and more so that not every loose end is tied up to help maintain the mysterious and dream like feel this generation has, unlike the loose ends in X/Y. The symbols may have come from previous expeditions into Area Zero or as I just thought from a group of people that lived there and died or moved out. Terapagos could indicate there is an entity above Arceus, the supposed god of pokemon, or that the Arceus we know and see is only an avatar for the true Arceus that remains hidden. The new paradox pokemon being in the BB Dex may just be GameFreak putting it like that, no special reason. Arven did say he believes it is the copy from the Academy's lobby and to be honest Arven isn't the sharpest tool in the shed at times so in this case he may not be putting two and two together. And the professor we meet may be a professor from an alternate timeline and by giving them the white book we are sending that timeline into an alternate direction, how so we will never know.

Maybe it’s just me but I’ve played both Scarlet and Violet and i honestly feel that Sada is worse than Turo. Her reaction at the crystal pool, her design overall idk i feel she would of sacrificed Arven to get her goals while Turo would of protected him

I thought the professor confirmed it was neither dream nor time travel, but yoinking the Paradox mons from entirely different worldines. The 'time machine' browsed through infinite possibilities until it found mons that kind of resembled and shared some physical traits with the ones in timelines we're already familiar with. They're literally just ultra beasts again.

I'm okay with the loose ends, but I wish we could've gotten more content in Area Zero It's in the name of the dlc but is featured so briefly. Even the new paradox mons are only available after a lengthy side quest. Would've been so much cooler to see them before terapagos

Pokémon is setting up an alternate timeline story because it sets them up for the future. Allowing them to recycle, rehash, and remix their old formula over and over ad infinitum without breaking their lore. You can release a red special edition Pikachu, but it's okay because it's "alternate timeline" Pikachu. And it allows them to mess with stories without needing to pay attention to the past.

they already did it in Gen 6 when it was confirmed in Pokemon XY that the ultimate weapon created two different timelines, one which has mega evolution and one which doesn't. This is later confirmed in ORAS since it is explicitly supposed to be a different timeline that original Ruby and Sapphire, Zinnia even talks about the original Ruby Sapphire timeline further confirming that the 2 games are indeed similar events happening in different timelines

Well In the case of the ancient pokémon they have to be just past and future relatives of modern day pokémon. I dont think the intent of this game was to go that deep into multiple dimensions. As they said, they traveled to the past and caught koraidon and through DNA analysis and behavior patterns they realized he is an ancient form of cyclizar. The future paradox are robots so they obviously aren't direct decendants. I dont know what the reason for their creation was but the professors said they come from times we have yet to see, so they do connect to our own time if its a time we have yet to see.

I mean... The Paradox form of Entei and Terrakion were found by Heath in the past... So it's not something the professor did... They are actually pokemon from the past and the future...

Which are 100% mythical beings resurrected in ancient times yes. But not prehistoric. Solely by those three you can dismantle the entire paradox roster.

Whether you think it makes sense or not that's solely up to you lol I just know the theme of the game is past and future and that was specifically stated throughout the game. Take it up with the writers not me.

@@derekosgood3230 the theme of the game is to lead you to believe into the past and future themes with cliches enforced by previous gens but in reality is more akin to the manifestation of will. If you know anything about real life evolution you would immediately see that the paradox mons are called that for a reason. They don’t make sense. That’s what a paradox is, they are living oxymorons. They don’t follow a linear progression, in no point in the game it’s directly stated that they are ancestors or descendants, the Pokédex keeps it really marginal by only mentioning the books. And the paranormal magazines are not reliable sources. They are literally scooped up from whatever divergent timelines fit the vision of the imaginations of those that pursue them. Both professors were mentally ill, neglecting their child and following an obsession that ultimately winded with them dead.

This reminds me of Birdkeeper Toby’s theory about the alchemy of arceus, and terapagos being reflection. Because what is reflection if not the mirror image of what you know. Al the more reason for this generation to then keep doing the opposite of what we expect (a mirror image of our expectations)

The time machine is still a time machine but it doesn't go backwards and forwards in the mainstream timeline; it *devolves* and re-evolves Pokemon within Area Zero which has been separated from the regular timeline into its own individual pocket reality. The future Pokemon are all robots because the professor has an ai copy and that's all the machine has within it's reality to extrapolate what the future might be. That's why the professor said they come from parallel universes and the AI said they come from past and future; it's both. But they aren't from the REAL past, they've been rewound and fast forwarded to what they MIGHT be/might have been within the pocket dimension of area zero.

I have a feeling that the time machine from scarlet and violet opens up some ultra wormhole, cause if you look at an image of an ultra wormhole, and when Sada or Toro use the time machine in the cutscenes the portal of the time machine displays the same colours as the ultra wormhole. Just a thought, pls no one come at me for it.

Problem with the multiversal theory is the fact that humans believe they can create a full blown new universe by accidently spilling coffee or by farting. We tend to be big headed and think things revolve around everyone of our actions. It seems to just be a dream machine.
