Things I learned while watching this video with a 100% retention rate: 1) Smashing your head on sharp hard steel could "take a bit to get going again" afterwards. 2) Ratchet straps are hard. Fact. 3) Top tip on making gloves last... don't wear em! Thanks for taking us along for the ride buddy! That sluice is a real beast!

Andy, love your channel! I have so much admiration for you, just seizing your dreams and making it happen. Where I live there were hundreds of gold mines before the Civil War and I'd love to find one and do what you're doing.

I wind up my straps like you do and in addition I leave the plain tail longer so that with it I can tie a simple overhand knot around the rolled strap to keep it all together until I'm going to use it.
