Honestly he’s not just well written but probably one of the best mcu villains In general and right up there with both Zemo and thanos. Mf was just straight cold. The line where he says “there is no god that’s why I stepped in!” Sent chills down my spine. A man who thinks he has a god complex is definitely one to be feared. It’s really sad how he feels more of threat than kang did honestly

What really made him great was how you could almost feel his insanity and narcissism. That scene where he screams "There is no God! That's why I had to step in." just really made me love him. It's interesting how he's an atheist with a god complex.

The thing that made him the most terrifying to me is how violently insecure he was even though he considers himself a god. He absolutely loathed the fact that Rocket, an “imperfect” creation of his, could fix a problem better than he could. He didn’t just want the perfect species and perfect utopia to be created; he wanted it to be his personal crowning achievement. Anything or anyone who could possibly take a sliver of credit was a threat to him.

@@jestbone89You say that like the Infinity Saga was all there was to the MCU. Newsflash: We have countless comic books to use as sources for movies and shows. They may vary in quality, but face it: the MCU won't be stopping anytime soon. And James Gunn isn't the only good director out there. There are others that can do a good job. It doesn't always have to be the big names. I think an X-Men movie directed by Neill Blomkamp would be very interesting.

@@axolotl1777 I may be one of the few people who enjoyed the show (although I admit that the finale was godawful), I would've preferred it if they didn't touch Secret Invasion as a storyline AT ALL! The original comic around this plot was convoluted enough and muddled many concurrently running stories, so I was always afraid for when the MCU might adapt it. And this is not exclusive to the Secret Invasion story, but some comic stories are better left untouched and should never be adapted. I am so hoping that the horrible story arc surrounding Riri Williams in the Ironheart comics won't EVER make it into the show. Also, Secret Wars is a movie, not a show.

High Evolutionary's face reveal at the end is a 'perfect' microcosm of the character throughout the movie (pun was intended). It showed how flawed, twisted, and mangled his view of reality is hidden behind a veneer of what he felt was perfection.

His suit reminds me of Kang The Conquers. I think The High Evolutionary's suit is based on manipulating gravity as oppose to Kang's who's suit is more just high tech powerful energy manipulation.

The way he says bad things with a sweet voice while holds Rocket gently and then he desperately sweet talks him while treating physically bad confused Rocket so much, until he showed his true self and that's when he was sure that he was bad, even tho he suspected it since way before. HE's narcissistic and obssesive, topped with some kind of sick parental figure behavior makes me so frustrated, it's very good writing (what I mean it's that he plays the role like a narcissistic parent, and with GOTG we saw different types of them: Ego, Thanos and now HE. Wich I think it's very interesting)

I want him to come back, and I’m hoping that’s why they spared him(for now). One of the biggest mistakes the MCU made after endgame was thinking they could do better by going bigger. Thanos snapping didn’t leave an impact on audiences because he wiped out half the universe. It made an impact because it killed half the heroes we’d rooted for for a decade. What we need is villains and stories that make it personal.

And the thing about High Evolutionary is we saw his evil deeds on screen. Incinerating his ceeations that don't fit his needs and blew up a planet with it's inhabitants still on it. Gorr and Kang just say "we killed gods/Avengers" yet we don't see them doing the evil deed.
