Thanks for video! How did you get to Crescent Meadow? And out from Whitney Portal? We are from Chicago, so not sure how we can swing a point to point trip.

Yeah logistics are tough on this one. I opted for the least hassle, most pricey option. Rental car from the airport to get to crescent meadow, then I had a private shuttle driver pick me up from the portal and shuttle me all the way back. It cost but in my opinion definitely worth it. The trip is amazing.

Thank you. Lol yes, I will definitely be including a bug net in future trips to the Sierras. They were only bad those first 8 miles or so. Never had a problem with them again.

Is that a plex solo tent? Did a trekking pole tent work good for the whole trip? I heard it’s on rock by Guitar Lake and beyond, wondering if there was any grief involved.

Yep that’s the Altaplex. I didn’t have any problems. If I remember correctly I did use some rocks at guitar lake to keep it in place, but nothing bad.

I actual carried my big ole Gregory Baltoro on that trip. It’s very heavy lol but rides well considering

Same with my volt, weighed almost 5 pounds but carried well. I found your video by reading your post on all trails. Great right up and video. Will be helpful planning my trip.
