Our space needle in Seattle now has a glass floor at the top and it is 152 meters high. I thought that was high. I don’t think my brain would allow my body to move to get on a glass floor 314 meters up. Nice video. Night view was spectacular

I visited the Skywalk last year with my Thai girlfriend. This was one of very few places we visited where she had to pay full price despite being Thai 😁 We went in the evening and the views from the top were absolutely spectacular. Be aware that the tickets cost more in the evening. 1080 baht each from memory but well worth it. No discount for me though. Not old enough. In fact, if you are a younger farang, get used to paying full admission price everywhere you go. The Thai economy is depending on you😁

It’s the Bangkok State Tower where the Hangover 2 was filmed. I went there years ago. It’s good at night a rooftop cocktail bar overlooking Bangkok. I’ll have to check out the King Power at some point.

That was brave of you Peter, I been up to the top of Roi Et tower which have a glass top, not as tall as the king power, but I found that nerve racking. Sorry for mentioning it have you put a little weight on, Peter,.

Hi Peter! You are a brave man. I am also scared of hights. Last year was my first time in Bangkok and i was amazed how many scyscrapers there was. Compare that to the city were i live, Rio de Janeiro, which is a similar siced city in population. The highest building is Rio Sul and it is only 164 meters high. Just a comment in relation to you not taking water up to the viewing point. Yes it maybe because they sell water there, however I think it is more likely just as they do with airports, to stop liquid explosives being possible brought into the structure

We did the glass Skydeck here in Chicago. My son (13 yrs old at the time) was doing pushups/pressups on the glass while I did my best to make it look like I was looking down. Funny how when you are young, you are bulletproof, and as you get older you realize how easy it is for bolts to go missing. A few years back, the glass floor started cracking in all directions as someone stood on it,, and I would imagine said person had to go home and change shorts ;-) Turns out that there are two layers, one relatively soft , but strong layer of glass underneath, and one thin hard layer on top that resists scuff marks (so you can clearly experience the full horror of looking down, and who wouldn't want to miss out on that!). Anyway, the hard coating easily cracks, but doesn''t support anything so it's safe, but it's not for those with a weak heart. Impressed that you looked down sir!!

Peter, why is your video reveresed/flipped? in the end you shook hands with you "left" hand and the words in the sign in the background were reversed also. Is this a KZfaq thing Or ?? On a side note, I've considered writing some of my stories from when I spent 3 years in Thailand, 1975-1978. It was a somewhat different time with the end of the Viet Nam war and the fall of Phnom Penh, and Laos, ( I was in Vientiane at that time ) Those were the days, my friend, I thought they'd never end. Hi Mike, yes that reverse Imaging was kind of annoying I found out it was a setting on my camera which I've now changed so the next time it should be ok it would be great to receive some of your older stories I particularly like stories from Thailand back in the day and I'm sure others do as well

Great experience,would be better on a clear day.I think I should go back in the night.When I went there was no loud music.I thought it would be cooler that high up-it was NOT and no shade.I would suggest cover up and wear a hat.Also be sure to drink too if you're there for a while.

8:23 The first thing that came to my mind was that if someone (without brain) threw a bottle of water from the top of the building it could easily kill anyone on the ground. If they sell all the drinks in a plastic/paper glass maybe it could be the reason. However If they sell bottles of water there then they just want to increase sales😂😂

King Power Mahan is the building run by King Power. King Power are a duty free company. They bought Leicester City Football Club. Leicester City won the Premier League and the FA Cup. King Power Stadium is the name of Leicester City stadium.
