Not only the infrastructure for smart grid is missing but there is substantial power cuts in most part of India (Northern/Rural). And smart grid won't work if there is no electricity. There is no point of installing RTS in household if the grid shuts down electricity every now and then. You have to have the battery anyways, basically a hybrid system. But it becomes too costly to maintain these things(multiple big batteries and replace it every 5-6 years, also life of solar panel is only 20-30 years) whose house hold consumption is below 300-500 unit. Rooftop solar is not a viable solution in this case. Only when the fundamental things are in place like smart grid system, ease of subsidy and almost 24*7 electricity, we should talk about awareness among general people.

Sir i humbly want to make a point here that, it could have better if u said that supreme court dont have ORGINAL jurisdiction in matters related to interstate water dispute but by saying supreme court dont have jurisdiction maynot convey the article correctly
