Hey, I just learned about NFT's yesterday from sumone I met yesterday. But u and your video have just made me understand what's really going on. This is interesting ND exciting. I want an app so badly. But what's even more I want to design apes in hoping to breakthrough in that way I'm soooooo stoked about what I know so little about. Or maybe just getting stamped into sumthn or make an impact into the meta ND make my mark. It seems that owning an app in the bayc is not reachable at this time. So I will need to find a back door way in or a stowaway so 2 speak. Lol but I love your video it made me understand much more wuts going on I subbed, liked, ND shared u. Thx

If i buy a pair of shoes, with the intent to sell for profit, and no one buys them, i can still wear them. That is the intrinsic value. Products usually have underlying intrinsic value, coupled with an arbitrary mark up. He is not wrong for highlighting that youre buying digital art that has zero intrinsic value. Such as artwork in the real world, if you aren’t buying $10k+ paintings, you probably would never understand.

So if you have your nfts on metamask or phantum, you just need to send it to the hardwallet and youre good?

But it does seem to be very much commercial and dependent on whimsy. I'd never be in a club that would have me (GM!), even if I could buy in, but of course I admire those who are accepted.

If you buy an apartment, a chair, a desk, food, a basketball, a pen, a fan, a laptop ... it doesn't matter if somebody wants to buy them from you or not they have their value in their utility already ... You can live in ur apartment, sit on the chair, eat the food, play with the basketball or sell it to somebody who wants to lol.

I still fail to see almost any value at all in BAYC. Unless, it seems, your definition of 'value, is 'makes me money'. All your examples of other companies like Nike and Supreme provide value to their consumers with products and services that the consumers want and need. I know BAYC is coming out with merch now, but it's backwards. Nike shoes aren't valuable to me because they have a super-cool swoosh on the side; They're valuable because they let me run without hurting my feet. Investors never would have bought in without the product first. The 'value' of BAYC is circular. Apes add value by granting access to airdrops of new NFTs, which are only valuable because they came from BAYC. All the games and parties are an afterthought that only came about because of the hype artificially driving up the price (if we're going by that Rolling Stones article). Does no one else see the issue here? So I ask: What value do the apes actually add to the world, beyond financial speculation for the people who own them, and is that value truly worth the monetary investment? I know you own the IP, but IP still needs a product behind it other than hype. Once that hype dies down, the value of that IP is gone. Anyway I hope my tone didn't come off as too hostile. I'm just frustrated that the more I research, the less sense this all makes to me. You seem like a nice person; I hope you don't end up holding the bag too badly.
