@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries , honestly, I find them to be, gasp, BETTER than Capcom in their few beat-em-up/side-scrolling brawler titles. Had they had a .better leadership, b. better talent, c. a bigger budget, d. more experience in making such games, and e. better company direction, then they could have made an awesome series. Also, as for the twin wrestler thing, you had mentioned the Rushing Beat/Rival Turf Trilogy in your video and, in Rushing Beat Shura/The Peace Keepers, that happened again with the wrestlers Jony and Joe/Gor and Kucheck. I also think that Jaleco missed a HUGE opportunity by not having the descendants of Rick and Allen in that series as well, as more refined styles of combat would have made them good additions to that series.

I just played through this game too. It’s a default pre-loaded game on the Legends Ultimate arcade cab. Much like you Patman growing up in the QC back in those days I never did see this game in any arcades. However, I did play it via MAME a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. I don't think Jaleco ever got as much respect for many of their games, especially the brawler ones. They weren't terribly innovative but they were usually solid and enjoyable games. I'd love to see you cover the Rushing Beat trio of games. I played the heck out of all 3 of them (Rival Turf, Brawl Bros & The Peacekeepers) on the SNES back in the day and also within the past year via emulation. Good times! :)

The coolest thing about the game mechanics of this game is uncovering powerups like food and weapons in the walls- after you throw your opponent into them! Right from the first stage to the each boss fight, you can keep throwing your enemies into the background, and at some point food items will fall out of the background (ie: walls, garbage cans).

Great content! I'm happy to have found your channel. Have you ever done a video on the Neo-Geo's Burning Fight? It's actually a very fun, good game...but is it more than a wee bit inspired by Final Fight? LOL! Yes, yes and yes! :) I could break all of that down, but I lack the video-making acumen to integrate game footage with commentary. Suffice to say, Burning Fight is 8 parts Final Fight; one part the Michael Douglas movie, Black Rain; and one part that Van Damm flick in which he had a twin. It'd make a killer video :)

Rick Anderson also looks like Stacy Keach, who played Mike Hammer, so it could be said he looks like Mike Hammer. Rick Allen is also the drummer for Def Leppard.

I love beat em ups so I’ve just scrounged everywhere looking for games that bring something different or innovative to the table. I never knew much of anything about 64th street idk if it’s based on Chicago or what the story is really. Maybe because I haven’t gotten far in it. It’s a rough game

I remember finding this game while messing around in the MAME romset a while back and it's fun enough, not too hard and lots of stuff to pick up and environments to destroy. I really didn't notice how much it was a Final Fight ripoff, and it's pretty wild that it is! They made their own setting! These guys should have been fighting gangsters that looked like Peter Lorre, James Cagney and Edward G Robinson! I also wouldn't have minded having a scrap with shirtless bully Marlon Brando straight out of A Streetcar Named Desire

This wasn't a bad game for it's time and i'm sure if this game had a sequel and had home ports 64th Street might have became a little bit more popular or known maybe.

Yes he is. I noticed the name right away. It could be a coincidence as they are pretty common names in English. Wonder if the person who did the English language version was a Def Leppard fan, though.
