It's a shame this game never got ported over to the Sega Genesis. Two Crude Dudes was pretty cool but I would have much preferred this original than the sequel. Aside from reducing some of the colors and cutting back the total amount of enemies on screen at once it could have been more than possible. Especially back then as Data East was on a roll with releasing games for the platform in the early 90s. I've read a couple people say the game was past it's prime and too old back when the Genesis was hot. If that's the case they wouldn't have released Joe & Mac 3 years later from it's Arcade release in 1994. But anyway, excellent review as always and thanks for The History of Rampage last week! 😎

Thank you also for mentioning the movie Running Scared. Juts watched it. Buddy cop movie. That was awesome. One joke after the other, good action, filmed between freezing cold Chicago and warm Florida Keys with all the ladies in bikinis. Cannot get more 80-ish than this. 😎

I'm surprised Billy Crystal was so good in that movie. It's really good and since making this video it's back on myy Amazon prime playlist :-)

One of the first few games I played in the arcades back in the 80s, and one of my personal favorite NES games too. Man for years I've been trying to find out who the illustrator that was responsible for creating a lot of the marquee and bezel artwork used for a lot of arcade cabinets, including this game.

Damn classic! Even being a predecessor to Final Fight whose graphics were clearly better, this game still looks great! I honestly love the graininess with the high sharpness. Another good video PatMan! 👍👍 Oh also I find it annoying, but understandable, I say "Beer beats Burger", and I think Japan agrees, but you know..the kids.

I grew up with the C64 version (connected to a screen who was capable only of displaying colours in shades of green, like a giant Game Boy), but the original Arcade version was one of my favourite games of all time and the reason why I am in love with Data East productions nowadays! I picked up a Data East Arcade Collection on Evercade just because of it (and Tumblepop also).

The good old days of playing games in the 80’s and early 90’s as a kid, and wanting to play a game you saw that looked cool and not knowing the name of it. Happened to me with “Rush & Attack” I kept telling my mom “Russian Attack” and “Altered Beast” I kept telling her “Ultra Beast” God I was a dumb kid, good times.
