Honestly I give Peter a LOT of credit for being so honest not only with Ramsey but himself in being able to say he wasn't cut out for the head chef position and bowed out gracefully. It takes a LOT of personal strength to be able to admit that you aren't ready for your dream.

The fact that Raj was able to finish and not kicked out in middle of service is a miracle in itself.

Interesting fact: In an interview after Josh's (Season 3) run on the show, he revealed that he did not initially think he was eliminated when Ramsay kicked him out of the kitchen, so he had plans to put his jacket back on and return to the kitchen. He also claimed that if Ramsay had not come in the back store to get his jacket, he would have come back in the kitchen, and things would have escalated

Josh and Nilka’s eliminations were so iconic! Also, Kevin’s elimination was brutal, I mean he doesn’t get an elimination interview, he just disappears.

Shoutout to Peter for knowing himself and his limits. So many people would tell Ramsey what he wanted to hear and not the truth.

Honestly, I respect Peter. He realized that sacrificing his mental health just wasn’t the right thing to do and that it wasn’t worth that for a prestigious chef’s position. He got control of himself and left and, if he’d stayed, that would have been horrible for him mentally.

I can't call Kevin's ejection forgettable, precisely because of how ruthless it was. It does stand out, even Jen got more of a spotlight when Ramsay kicked her out of the show, and she straight up accused him of "clowning" her.

My favorite ejection is Jen from S18, who accused Ramsay of sabotage despite admitting she was short on leeks a few seconds prior. "YOU TRYNA CLOWN ME UP IN HERE RIGHT NOW!"

One thing I always remember about Josh’s elimination in Season 3 is Jean-Philippe’s face at 2:19. It’s like even HE knew someone was practically doomed with that revelation.

Louie's elimination has to be the most abrupt elimination ever, they way he was just eliminated and we never heard of him since is so hilarious and I have a feeling that he was a plant casted by the producers so Ramsey can eliminate him and replace him with Robert

Gabriel's exit is still my personal favorite. It's not even the shoutiest or with the most memorable soundbites, but it's 1) The build-up b/w either him or Scott getting this boot (in hindsight, Scott didn't perform bad enough in the slightest that service to merit it) and 2) How real it felt. I love GR's yelling, but it's still obviously played up for the cameras. With Gabriel's though, I genuinely felt like someone could literally get fired in this exact manner, it seemed so genuine to me.

You left out a critical part of why Kevin's elimination during service was so brutal and swift. Kevin's signature dish was probably one of the worst signature dishes in all of Hell's Kitchen -- a salad and pizza abomination that were both pre-made! Gordon threatened to eject Kevin right then and there DURING THE SIGNATURE DISH CHALLENGE. That put Kevin on very short notice and that he had no room for error from that point forward. After his awful second service that forced Gordon to send the blue team into the pantry, he was probably still thinking about Kevin's awful signature dish. So Gordon decided to just put him out of his misery right then and there. No parting words, no exit interview, just a very swift and brutal "GET OUT!"

I've been waiting for flynn to talk about season 15 Kevin's elimination because for me my God that was easily the most brutal elimination ever in my opinion

Kevin's ejection is my all-time favourite, just because of how quick, cold-blooded and ruthless it was: "Take your apron off, get packed and *FUCK OFF OUT*"

I was actually really pleased with Peter's ejection..... The whole young guns non-eliminations made me respect this season more than the others. Another noteworthy non-eliminations was Motto of the same season. He would give a spot for his competitors to the final three, to bring all of his experience to his hometown New Orleans. There was another that season, Chris I think his name was, that was battling mental deamons. I respected him for recognizing he needed to seek help, and not continue on the competition.

Kevin’s was hilarious. “You, GET OUT.” *casually* “Yes Chef.” And that’s it 😂

Yea a lot of respect for Peter takes a strong heart to know when the mind has weakened.

I love how at 7:18 the cameraman stops the door from being slammed just so he can follow Nilka around.

Props to Flynn for pumping these out and props to whatever media company owns the rights to this for not taking it down. Flynn is definitely adding critical analysis to these that is above and beyond watching an episode. If you ever run out of ideas for Hells Kitchen and Survivor, you could consider doing MasterChef or Kitchen Nightmares.

I really love peters honesty! He realized he wasnt ready and was truthful with Mr. Ramsey, I hope he comes back in alter seasons to prove himself. It would be one of the best come backs in the history. if he never does, You go peter! you were always my favorite and you will always be my favorite! keep that fire bright!

Louie's elimination has always been one of my favorites, Ramsay's absolute disbelief followed by Louie shouting "HE CAN KISS, MY, F%CKING, @SS!" after being eliminated is such a good moment.

These ejections of the same NAME are just too ironic, the very first person ejected who is Josh from S3, and another different Josh got ejected in All Stars! Not only that, Kevin from S15 got ejected, and a different Kevin from Young Guns got ejected as well, thank you HK for the memories!

Kevin's elimination to me is one of the most brutal cause he didn't even get an interview. Nothing. He was gone, the whole blue team was terrified that they would be thrown out as well.

Lacey was literally deadweight, Josh and Kevin kept flying under the radar, J never recovered, Louie thought he could screw Gordon Ramsey over without being noticed, Nilka flipped out like a little brat, poor Gabriel would’ve made it further in his season, the other Josh kept messing up and thought he could recover, Peter was brutally honest with himself and Gordon Ramsey, and the younger Kevin just gave up

Of all of these, Peter's probably the only one to get ejected with his dignity still somewhat intact. He admitted he wasn't ready and left it at that. Everyone else either waited until they'd already hit the downward spiral or made complete idiots/asses of themselves from the start. Admitting you're in over your head takes a lot of strength and maturity. And there's no reason for Peter to continuously feel belittled or humiliated for poor services if he knows he's not ready to be Ramsey's head chef. Kudos to him for having the awareness and self-respect to admit that. Edit: I was rewatching this, and I realized that if Josh hadn't tried to go back to the kitchen, he would've at least had the chance to fight to stay. Yeah, he would've still gone up for elimination, and probably would've been eliminated anyway, but if he kept his mouth shut and stayed in the dorms after getting kicked out, he could've at least stood a chance (or at least had a more dignified elimination). I talked about Peter leaving with his dignity intact, and S17 Josh was the exact opposite. Josh tossed his dignity out the window, and tried to beg Ramsey-who was already pissed at him-to come back. Hell's Kitchen protip: if Ramsey kicks you out, don't try to beg your way back in. It never ends well, and it just makes you look pathetic.

Season 15 was the first season of Hell’s Kitchen I watched. So Kevin’s elimination will always stick with me due to how insane it was to watch.

If I had a nickel for every time Kevin was eliminated midservice from Hell's kitchen I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice

I love Joy’s mid service elimination. I know technically she quit and walked off but Ramsey still eliminated her right when he went after her and she repeated that she was done.

Nilka's ejection was, IMO, due to how she reacted to Ramsey putting the spotlight on her mistakes; they honestly were not even that bad, yet she has a complete emotional meltdown over them, which is sad considering her talent.

My opinions on each: S3 Josh - He should've been eliminated at the Final 6. Gordon nominated Gabe and eliminated him the previous season, so it really should've been the same way this elimination. I only wonder if that didn't happen to create drama. J - Probably one of the more forgettable ejections, but I do feel bad for the guy. It seems like the intense environment caught up to him. Lacey - She was completely out of her depth. If you flat-out say you can't cook meat, there's no chance you'll be a head chef in a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. Louie - He was useless during service, but his final quote after his elimination is hilarious. Like many others, I do wonder if it was a setup. Nilka - It was sad to see her meltdown, but Gordon giving her a personal goodbye afterward showed how much he cares about the contestants. This has to be one of these most iconic Hell's Kitchen moments. Gabriel - He was an underdog and a fighter to make it so far, but that bad performance so late in the competition was all it needed to do him in, especially considering how strong the other 6 were, despite Scott's bad performance. S15 Kevin - A trainwreck chef who got the most brutal mid-service ejection, not even getting an exit interview, and completely disappeared. S17 Josh - He was probably gonna go home that night anyway, but he screwed himself going back into the kitchen and sealed his fate. S18 Jen (not included in the video) - While technically an ejection, this was more of a quit in nature. It's a shame Jen was brought back only for this to happen 3 episodes into the season. We could've gotten an amazing chef back but instead, we got Lousy Attitude Jen Gavin. Peter - You have to respect him for realizing he needed to put his mental health first and not continually grinding himself to the bone. He probably would've been among the next few eliminations if he hadn't quit. Marc's reaction in the confessional is always funny, though. S20 Kevin - A crash and burn, while not as brutal as the other Kevin's, still shocking. It seemed like he completely shut off mentally and got into his own head.

One positive about Nilka’s ejection was that Gordon went to see her on her way out. He hadn’t done that for any other chef.

Regarding the Louie and Robert situation, I’m almost certain that they already asked Robert to come back and he agreed beforehand. Chef Ramsey asking him on camera was just for the benefit of the audience. I don’t know what the deal with Louie was but I’m sure that they didn’t pick a 47 year old diner owner because he was a contender to win. He was probably always viewed as an early boot and his performance made it an easy one to make room for Robert.

I think Jen's ejection in Season 18 was wild probably because she's the only chef to cuss out Ramsay before stomping herself to the exit

Plot twist: A. Kevin requested to have no exit interview. B. His exit interview featured him saying something that was not for TV.

Honestly, Lacey should have won Season 5, a lot of quotes from her really inspired me. "Jean-Philippe I've never waited tables before!" "I quit, you guys!" "I don't want to do this $#!t anymore..." "I DON'T KNOW, CHEF!" "You really want to start with me?!" and many more, it is so sad... 😢😂

Season 20's Kevin ejection to me is LITERALLY poetic. At least unlike the season 15 Kevin, this one got a proper sendoff. LOL

After Kevin's ejection and hearing Gordon saying "Who's next?" I was like "Oh shit." and having a deer in the headlight stare.

For those commenting about Jen, Flynn talks about her in his video on Rage Quits. Same with Joy I think Josh is the most iconic because it's the Black Jacket service. I respect Peter for being honest and recognizing Hell's Kitchen wasn't for him. Josh in All-Stars was such a blunder. If Ramsay eliminates you mid service, just leave?

I'm quite surprised that Raj wasn't ejected on his third service. Raj was a trainwreck and made so many mistakes in that service alone. He's basically Louie plus a few extra services. Being a waiter on service one basically got him a free pass, on service two they deliberately put Curtis on sushi to make him fail so that Raj could get another service but it was third time unlucky for him

The best part of Kevin's ejection hands down is the collective shitting of the Blue Team at 10:20 after Ramsay says "Who's next?"

I tend to wonder if Lacey's parents convinced her to sign up for Hell's Kitchen, bs'ing her to her face saying she can cook at any level. Like how someone train wrecks in an audition in American Idol or those of the like because their family don't have the heart to tell them they can't sing.

I just finished Season 5 in completion yesterday. Lacey was just terrible. She is not the worst chef compared to others but she said she had no idea what she was getting into and sure enough she got what she deserved
