I was waiting for the mafia connection, as I always felt it. My nana on my moms side, her dad came from Italy. When I try to find out from where exactly, the family pretends they dont know. I reverted to Islam 34 years ago, yet my uncles on my moms side made sure that no info passed my way. Yet, I remember as a child my nana was not like the other women in the family. She never left her home without her husband which was considered an oddity. I was only 10 when she died. I suspect she was Sicilian on her dads side, and here's why. Her husband, my papa was pure Irish ancestry. It was normal at that time to intermarry in the Boston area, as long as both were Catholic. The pivotal point here is my papa became the Vice president of the International Longshoremen's Union in the port of Boston for 30 years. He was a major figure at the horse and dog tracks In the area and my mom said as a girl she remembers the bookies coming to the house with the numbers. My mum was the only daughter with 4 brothers and when she married my dad they couldn't conceive for 7 years. Finally I was born and they stopped the race at the track to announce my birth "Dan Donovan got a granddaughter!" Well, Allah decreed that I would detest gambling and I've never even bought a lottery ticket😂 Nanas maiden name was Portella, And as we know, names ending in ella or alla especially Latino based names were Muslim.

The Cappella Palatina in Palermo is the palace church built by Roger II, and its interior is a fusion of Roman, Byzantine and Islamic architecture. There is scripture written on the walls in Latin, Arabic and Greek. It also has a carved wooden muqarna ceiling which was painted by Egyptians... This building is a testament to the harmony between human spirits, and the greatness that can be achieved when put to a task together.

my question why every believer of Islam needs to pray in Arabic language...I really appreciate the way of praying and worship ..a very humble way of giving honor to the creator.
@abdallaalmidfa73452 жыл бұрын
Because the Quran is in Arabic and at least you should learn to recite Chapter 1 of the Quran in Arabic which is very short and it’s obligatory for your prayer and gradually learn some short verses and you will be good to go no rush .

Prophet Muhammad was the founder of Secular Medina,,,so islam is the inventor of secularism,,, But main point is islamic secularism is nowhere near to the western secularism,,, Islamic secularism is everyone can practice their religion if they pay jiziya (tax) & Muslims have the right to give dawah to the non Muslims,,, But western secularism is hypocrisy which means no one can practice religion in public but christians mainly use it Against muslims

DAILY DHIKR TO REMEMBER ALLAH (SWT) SubhanAllahi wa biHamdihi, Subhan-Allahi 'l-`adheem (Glory be to Allah, and Praise, Glory be to Allah, the Supreme) Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Two words are light on the tongue, weigh heavily in the balance, they are loved by the Most Merciful One." [Sahih al-Bukhari; #7:67, Sahih Muslim, #4:2071] 2. Whoever says SubhanAllahi wa biHamdihi (Glory be to Allah and Praise Him) a hundred times during the day, his sins are wiped away, even if they are like the foam of the sea [Sahih al-Bukhari; #7:168, Sahih Muslim; #4:2071] Abu Dharr reported that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, "Shall I tell you the words that Allah loves the most?" I said: "Yes, tell me, O Messenger of Allah." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The words dearest to Allah are: subhanAllah wa bihamdihi”. [ Muslim and at-Tirmidhi.] 3. La Hawla wa la Quwatta illa Billah (There is no Might or Power except with Allah) [the above is] a treasure from the treasures of Paradise.[Sahih al-Bukhari; al-Fath al-Bari #11:213, Sahih Muslim #4:2076] 4.SubhanAllah, walHamdulilah, wa La illaha ilAllahu, waAllahu Akbar (Glory be to Allah, All Praise is for Allah, There is No God but Allah, Allah is the Greatest) The above are mentioned as the four most beloved words to Allah. It does not matter with which one of them is begun.[Sahih Muslim; #3:1685] Abu Sa`id (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, "Perform the enduring goods deeds (al-baaqiyaat al-SaliHaat) more frequently." They asked, "What are these enduring good deeds?" The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) replied: Takbir [Allahu Akbar], Tahlil [la ilaha illallah], Tasbih [Subhan'Allah], alhamdulillah, and la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.
