in this video and its sequels, we will walk the land and observe all of the signs that lend clues to it's colonial history. #ledgemereheritagefarm

What a great video Tom! I love the history of the area. Alot can be learned from contents in the old dumps. Thank you so much for sharing. You’ve done a lot of hard work there, and I think your ancestors from days gone by would be proud.

Tom your family roots go way back and just watching this thinking that all most every rock wall or stack that your ancestors had moved to make this farm in to a cultivated farm is behond amazing so glad you made the choice to follow in those foot steps your video's are 🏆and your talks to go with it .I guess one can say when you were younger you took a different path for a career but now you have came full circle and back to the farm you have TRUE farming roots .p.s. Looking foward to more coming up 🇺🇸🤔

You have a great looking farm Tom. I have those trash dumps all through the woods behind my house. Farmers had those stone boats here and called them ground slides.

thank you. when i was a kid, our town had a big open pit dump, but in the next town over, everyone heaved their trash off to the sides of an old dirt road. its always interesting to me how people in different regions of the country have alternate names for the same thing. thank you for watching

What a great place to call home! To think every one of them thousands of rocks have been lugged by someone long gone. Rest easy former owners!!!

they figured there were around 235000 miles of stonewalls built in new england. that’s a lot more than the great wall of china!
