Wonder if anyone chatting shit about you guys getting cars out the door have ever built a car before lol shit takes time if you wanna do it right. You can slap on a knock off turbo, some scrap bits of tube and silicone couplers in a weekend or two but stripping the whole front end, tearing the engine down to the long block, cleaning, painting, coating and plating every piece of metal and hardware and putting it all back together ain't easy, fast or cheap. Hell, just getting a bare metal respray is easily gonna take a month or more. Sure, if you have a team of 30 people, all the parts in stock and pumping out identical 'spec' cars instead of going custom for your customers then yeah, you could probably pump them out in a few weeks each (painting will probably still take a while) but 1 fab guy, 1 mechanic and 1 business guy with a part time painter ain't the same deal.

After everything you've expressed about the R33 and the R32 this is definitely the right move. I'm a bit older than you so the 80's really call to me for body style but that 2.8 belongs in the 33 hands down.

It shouldnt take a year to get silicone couplers. All sorts of places you can get them. Oh and you can get an offset coupler for your y pipe, itll help with fitment for it 👍

My GT86 been in Body Shop for 2weeks for front fender and both bumpers, which seems less work than building engines etc so yr shop Tommy doing fine. Cars can take a while to fix better to take time with these things anyways. Looks fire 🔥. Gold and Purple always a winner.

A little bummed to see the 2.8 go to the r33. However,seeing the r33 being prioritized for r’s day seems super justified. I feel the r32 nur needs as much time as humanly possible to see it’s finalized form. I do think the hks 2.8 would have been a better fit with period correctness. The hks 2.8 and matching hks big brake kit plus the huge stock pile you have would just be so fitting. Nonetheless you’ll nail the r32 final form as well as the r33.

Tommy, need to install your HKS calipers on the HKS 2.8 R33. Don't use the Greddy if you are using the HKS motor.

Getting the money together and gotta find the car. I want to get a 32 to get the 2.8 stroker v cam with the grippy TEs that the build would be similar to Lees car but painted KN6 with endless breaks and the smallest big single that can get me 750whp on flex fuel. And when i get the car ima let Tommy go to town with it. So in the future if ya hear him say he’s building Rays car. Just know it’ll be mine 💪🏽

people don't understand how long the process of fixing cars let alone restoring them. I work in a body shop and some car sit for months waiting on backordered parts and that is on modern vehicles, not gtr's with all the rare parts that tommy is sourcing for them. Also people have to remember the level of work tommy is putting out, he's not just hacking cars out and if he were to start rushing shit he will start having comebacks just like what happened with Dustin Williams car. In this business you have to take the time to do it right the first time or it will cost you more time and money.

The R33 is my favorite Skyline other than the Hako n Kenmeri. Buf you gonna have one sick ass R33 when you get it all done! Cant wait to see it finished

Plus rare parts to make these car magical and show quality like you make them. I wouldn't be upset to have to wait 8 months to get a car of this quality that's not brand new
