I love how Hamilton in these interviews doesn't ever ask a standard question but really thinks about every actor and their character and works out the most interesting questions to ask. Very well done Sir.

Always so nice to see these actors in interviews about these movies, even all this time later. They've been a big part of my life. Whenever I've gone through a hardship, these are my "go to" diversions. So much amazing talent went into making these movies that it's truly astonishing. There was real artisanship involved in every aspect. I would've loved to have a job behind the scenes, just making things.

I remember going to the cinema with my uncle to see Fellowship of the Ring, i remember i hadn't read any of the books back then and i kept annoying my uncle with questions during the movie, but from that day began my everlasting love for LOTR.

Finally!! An interviewer that is not a complete moron.. I feel like too many of 'The Hobbit' interviews had stupid people asking the actors stupid questions... this is very refreshing and the actors are sooo amazing!!

This interviewer is brilliant, I've seen him talk with a bunch of different actors now and he obviously prides himself on asking interesting questions that are NOT the typical ones the actors have already answered 1000 times before. So refreshing.

Interviewer: (in a loud voice) So if I did my nerdy research correctly, Thorin translates as darer? RA: Where was that etymology from? Interviewer: ...i found it online. RA: Ok, but any particular nation that would've done it? Interviewer: ...not sure... RA: Ok, cause the Nordic translation of Thorin comes from Thor meaning thunder. In the English folklore it means..blahblahblah. Mr. Armitage: Mr. Armitage: Ok..but any particular nation that would've done it? Interviewer:...i'm not sure...

I got to meet Ian McKellen when he came to my school to teach and inspire some kids about acting (I have to mention i didn't take acting so I bunked off school to meet him) I got yelled at by about 4 teachers but made up some bullshit about being ill , I looked at the clock and worried I may of missed him.Upon running round into the theatre there he stood arms raised to the air "YOU SHALL NOT PASS" .... I never made it back to my maths lesson , he was amazing down to earth and inspiring.

I'm starting to recommend all my friends invest time into Jake's interviews. He really has talent.

I usually never watch interviews but just by looking at the actors' reactions to your questions show how interesting and in-depth they really are. Keep it up man.

This interviewer is great. Like, sometimes you watch an interview, and the annoying host ruins it, but this guy has great questions, and great enthusiasm. These are great little interviews.

it was a great interview to watch. jake's questions are so on point, interesting, and he asks 'nerdily', if I may, in a good way. the casts are great persons, there was no awkward moment, everything straight, just awesome. not many have managed to do such a thing, I think.

What are you talking about? Jake asks the best questions out of any other interviewer I see on KZfaq. He actually makes the interviewee think about their answer rather than just giving a simple "yes/no". That last question he asked Martin Freeman was a great question and his answer was equally as good.

This is what I like about Jake's interviews, he always comes up with questions that the actors have to think about and not give generic answers. Also, loved the part when he hugged Andy. I mean, who wouldn't???
