His performance is the shiniest gem in The Hollow Crown season 2, especially when the second season is not as perfect as the first. Although people say that the character Henry VI is somewhat weak because most of the time he had only two expressions of confusion and innocent, playing a king from the age of 17 until being imprisoned and murdered as a middle-aged man is no easy feat. Not to mention this king has a troubled mind. And the peak of his acting in this role is the king's monologue.

@@Inna.Eroshina Absolutely. Henry VI is my favorite from the The Hollow Crown series - it's a doomed, sad, heartbreaking story and Tom is brilliant as the weak king.

@@Inna.Eroshina What you say about Henry is all true. And for at time this attitudes paired with being a child king and without a father as a role model AND corruption and manipulation around him made him a weak king. And yes, Tom fits this perfectly. So much, it nearly hurts.

Too bad the real Henry VI did not have Stuurridge's presence and good looks. Things might have turned out differently.
