My mother and I did not share the same musical taste, especially when I was in junior high, but I was always impressed and very moved when she played this song at the piano in our dining room. The house rocked in a heavenly way! Thank you for sharing your talent.

@@SunnysPiano Since we've connected around you and my mom both playing stirring renditions of "The Holy City," I want to tell you about two more songs I grew up with. The first song that moved me to tears just by hearing it was Mom playing "Let Us Break Bread Together." It was on my 5th birthday. She was the granddaughter of a minister, daughter of a minister, wife of a minister and eventually the grandmother of a minister. At the other end of her musical spectrum was a song called "Alley Cat" (by Bent Fabric in 1962), which she played equally well and spirited! In addition to the You Tubers who are enjoying your talent, I am certain there are family and friends being blessed through you now, close to home - and in the future they will fondly recall what a rich contribution you made to their lives (maybe even thinking way back to the "old days" when there was this thing called You Tube on another thing called the Internet) Thanks again and God bless you.

And then methought my dream was chang'd The streets no longer rang Hushed were the glad Hosannas The little children sang The sun grew dark with mystery The morn was cold and chill As the shadow of a cross arose Upon a lonely hill "Jerusalem, Jerusalem! Hark! How the Angels sing, Hosanna in the highest, Hosanna to your King!" And once again the scene was changed New earth there seemed to be I saw the Holy City Beside the tideless sea The light of God was on its streets The gates were open wide And all who would might enter And no one was denied No need of moon or stars by night Or sun to shine by day It was the new Jerusalem That would not pass away "Jerusalem! Jerusalem Sing for the night is o'er Hosanna in the highest Hosanna for evermore!"

Simply one of the best I have ever heard. This has been a favorite of mine since my childhood Easter pageant. Few play it with the passion you do. This is how it should be done. Brava!

Congratulations Sunny, for your excelent and great interpretation of this beautiful song. I come accross with it as I was looking for the sheet music for a niece who plays the piano, just like you, since she was 6 years old and has been asked to do this. She is 37 years old now.
